Logan James is an American professional wrestler currently signed to the American professional wrestling promotion IWA Mid-South where he is part of The Player's Club stable. [2]

Professional wrestling career

Independent circuit (2016–present)

Logan James debuted as a professional wrestler in Ohio Valley Wrestling's Saturday Night Special Christmas Chaos on December 3, 2016, under the name L.J. where he teamed up with Callie and Carlos Gabriel in a losing effort to Adam Slade, Robbie Walker and Madi Maxx in a six-person intergender tag team match. [3] He is known for his tenure with Ohio Valley Wrestling where he is a former OVW Television Champion for which he feuded with Randall Floyd. [4] James currently competes for IWA Mid-South, where he is a former IWA Mid-South Junior Heavyweight Champion, IWA Mid-South Heavyweight Champion and IWA Mid-South Tag Team Champion with fellow stable members Tyler Matrix and Adam Slade. [5] On September 22, 2018, he took part of the IWA Ted Petty Invitational Tournament defending his junior heavyweight title against Pat Monix. [6] He lost the first round match as well as the championship. [7] He worked with wrestling personalities such as Brian Pillman Jr., Davey Boy Smith Jr. and Fred Yehi. [8] At the 2018 IWA Somebody's Gonns Hurt Somebody on June 15, James lost a match against Impact Wrestling star Trey Miguel. [9] Along with Tyler Matrix, James defended their IWA Mid-South Tag Team Championship successfully against The Mason Dixon Line (Devan Dixon and Silas Mason) at IWA Mid-South In Like A Lion 2021 from March 13. The IWA World Championship is the major title in the IWA Mid-South based in Louisville, Kentucky. The title debuted at the "Crowning of a Champion" event on April 3, 1997, when Tower of Doom won a twelve-man tournament. There have been a total of 125 reigns among 59 champions and 19 vacancies. Tower of Doom was the inaugural champion, having defeated Ox Harley and Bull Pain in a tournament final three-way match on April 4, 1997, at Crowning of Champion. On June 14, 2022, Jake Crist vacated the title after failing to receive payment. As a result, the company ceased operations and the title was deactivated.

The Ted Petty Invitational tournament is an independent wrestling tournament in North America, run and promoted by Independent Wrestling Association Mid-South. Created as the Sweet Science Sixteen in 2000 by Ian Rotten, the tournament was originally supposed to showcase the top technical independent wrestlers. After the death of Ted Petty in September 2002, Rotten changed the name to honor his friend. The tournament was expanded to 24 participants, with a three-way final, in 2003. Over the years, the tournament has attracted numerous famous independent wrestlers from Ken Anderson, A.J. Styles to James Gibson.
