John Hugh Edrich,was an English first-class cricketer who,during a career that ran from 1956 to 1978,was considered one of the best batsmen of his generation. Born in Blofield,Norfolk,Edrich came from a cricketing family,his four cousins,Eric Edrich,Bill Edrich,Geoff Edrich and Brian Edrich,all having played first-class cricket. He was educated at the private Bracondale School between the ages of eight and seventeen,during which time he played cricket at weekends and was coached by former cricketer C. S. R. Boswell.
Frederick John Titmus was an English cricketer,whose first-class career,mostly for Middlesex with a shortish stint for Surrey,spanned five decades. He was the fourth man after W.G. Grace,Wilfred Rhodes and George Hirst to take 2,500 wickets and make 20,000 runs in first-class cricket. Although he was best known for his off-spin,he was an accomplished lower-order batsman who deserved to be called an all-rounder,even opening the batting for England on six occasions. Outside cricket,Titmus was also a footballer;at one stage he was contracted to Watford as a professional,having earlier played for amateur club Leytonstone,and then for Chelsea as a junior.
Alvin Isaac Kallicharran is a former Indo-Guyanese cricketer of Tamil origin who played Test cricket for the West Indies between 1972 and 1981 as a left-handed batsman and right-arm off spinner. He was a member of the squads which won the 1975 Cricket World Cup and the 1979 Cricket World Cup.

Robin David Jackman was an English cricketer,who played in four Test matches and 15 One Day Internationals for the England cricket team between 1974 and 1983. He was a seam bowler and useful tail-end batsman. During a first-class career lasting from 1966 to 1982,he took 1,402 wickets. In 2018,Kent County Cricket Club competed in Division Two of the County Championship,the Royal London One-Day Cup and the 2018 t20 Blast. The county finished second in Division Two of the Championship and were promoted to Division One for the 2019 season. They reached the final of the One-Day Cup. losing to Hampshire at Lord's,and the quarter-final stage of the t20 Blast. In addition,before the start of the English cricket season,Kent competed in the 2017–18 Regional Super50,the List A competition of the West Indies domestic season,reaching the semi-final stage. This was the second time that Kent have competed in the competition,having played in the 2016–17 competition.
