Lori Dennis (born August 14, 1969)[ citation needed ] is an interior designer, author, and lecturer.
Dennis developed her interest in design and architecture at an early age. As a teenager, she worked on her parents' remodel and attended weekly open houses. [1]
Prior to interior design, Dennis was a stockbroker who rehabbed and sold homes and apartment buildings. She would reupholster furniture as a cost saving measure and later began to design her own furniture. [2]
Dennis graduated from the UCLA Interior Architecture Master's Program in July 2000. While completing coursework, Dennis was In-house Designer for SeminarPlanet.com. In 1999, she went to work for Cheryl Rowley Interior Design. A year later, she established her own firm, Lori Dennis, Inc. [3] Lori Dennis, Inc. specializes in sustainable (green or eco-friendly) interior design, and she is currently the principal designer of the firm. They are one of the nation's top Green Interior Design Firms, presented with the Greeopia Award in 2008, as well as the HOME Magazine "2008 Best Green Remodel" award. [4]
In 2006, Dennis passed the NCIDQ Exam (National Council for Interior Design Qualification) and became a full member of the American Society of Interior Designers.
In 2013, Dennis c0-founded Interior Design Camp, which was later sold to publicly traded Kabuni.[ citation needed ] She also joined as a star of Real Designing Women, a television show that aired on HGTVCanada.
Dennis describes her design philosophy incorporates sustainability and feng shui. [1] Dennis is a LEED certified interior designer. [5]

Interior architecture is the design of a building or shelter from inside out, or the design of a new interior for a type of home that can be fixed. It can refer to the initial design and plan used for a building's interior, to that interior's later redesign made to accommodate a changed purpose, or to the significant revision of an original design for the adaptive reuse of the shell of the building concerned. Kelly Wearstler is an American designer. She founded her own design firm Kelly Wearstler Interior Design in the mid-1990s, serving mainly the hotel industry, and now designs across high-end residential, commercial, retail and hospitality spaces. Her designs for the Viceroy hotel chain in the early 2000s have been noted for their influence on the design industry. Design on a Dime is a decorating television series that aired on HGTV from 2003 to 2013. In this long-running series, a design team demonstrates how problem areas can be revitalized on a budget of only $1,000. The show was based in Chicago, IL. and featured a rotation of design teams and hosts. Later episodes featured designer Casey Noble using innovative solutions to the toughest makeover scenarios and with a bigger budget of $2,500. There were a few variations, including episodes highlighting a $3,000 wedding, Christmas, a special "Etsy" episode, and more.

Elora Hardy is a Canadian designer, who founded the company IBUKU. She is most well known for designing a community of bamboo homes near Denpasar in Bali. She was born in Canada, grew up in Bali and moved to the United States at the age of 14 to go to boarding school. She then got a degree in fine arts and worked in the fashion industry where she most notably designed prints for Donna Karan. In 2010 Hardy moved back to Bali and founded Ibuku, a design firm that uses bamboo and other natural materials to build homes and structures. Since that time Ibuku has built more than 90 bamboo structures in Southeast Asia and Africa, including the Green School Bali campus. Hardy created a yoga pavilion and riverside cooking classroom at the Four Seasons in Bali, the interior design of Tri restaurant in Hong Kong, furniture for the Como Marketplace in Singapore and tree-house suites at Bambu Indah.
Heather Dubbeldam, OAA, FRAIC, LEED AP, WELL AP is a Canadian architect based in Toronto. She received the 2016 Prix de Rome in Architecture for her research on sustainable housing. In 2003, Dubbeldam founded Dubbeldam Architecture + Design a midsized multidisciplinary firm. Prior to starting her own firm, she worked for Kuwabara Payne McKenna Blumberg (KPMB), where she gained her architectural license. Beyond architectural practice, Dubbeldam contributes to the architectural community as a volunteer on various boards. These boards include: Building Equality in Architecture Toronto, Twenty + Change, and the Design Industry Advisory Committee. Her volunteering also includes affiliations with multiple architectural schools as a critic and advisory council member.
