Reign in Blood is the third studio album by American thrash metal band Slayer, released on October 7, 1986 by Def Jam Recordings. The album was the band's first collaboration with producer Rick Rubin, whose input helped the band's sound evolve. The release date of the album was delayed because of concerns regarding the lyrical subject matter of the opening track "Angel of Death", which refers to Josef Mengele and describes acts such as human experimentation that he committed at the Auschwitz concentration camp. The band's members stated that they did not condone Nazism and were merely interested in the subject.

The Melkweg is a popular music venue and cultural center in Amsterdam, Netherlands. It is located on the Lijnbaansgracht, near the Leidseplein - the prime nightlife square of Amsterdam. It is housed in a former dairy and is divided into a number of spaces of varying sizes. Besides four halls for varying genres of music concerts, the venue houses a cinema, a restaurant and an exhibition space. The Melkweg is run by a nonprofit organisation that has existed since 1970.

"We picked the stuff that sounded the best without having to touch it up," Nikki Sixx observed in 2000. "We still play some of those songs [from Generation Swine] in the set; they just didn't make the final tracklisting."

It was held on 420 acres (1.7 km2) of countryside adjacent to Los Tubos beach in Manatí on the north shore of the island. An estimated 30-35,000 people attended the festival.

Live as Hippie-Punks is a 1995 live album by the band Die Engel des Herrn. It was recorded at a 1993 concert in Düsseldorf which was the band's final performance, as they split up immediately following the concert. When Klaus Dinger signed to the Japanese record label "Captain Trip Records" in 1995, the recording was made into a live album and released.

Cooper also acted as a session guitarist on American southern rock band Shotgun Rebellion's debut album Train of Pain in addition to performing on a limited number of dates with the band.
"Kill All Hippies" is a song by Scottish rock band Primal Scream, released on 20 March 2000 as the second single from their sixth studio album XTRMNTR. The song has an aggressive, electronically processed sound, with prominent use of sampled drum loops and distorted guitars. Its title is a quote from the 1980 film Out of the Blue, and begins with a sample of the line and other quotes from the film spoken by actress Linda Manz. Upon release, the song debuted and peaked at number 24 on the UK Singles Chart and spent one more week in the top 100 before dropping out.
