Bis are a Scottish indie pop band composed of Steven Clark, John Clark, and Amanda MacKinnon, formed in 1994. The band's name, rhyming with 'this', derives from "black iron skyline", a lyric from the song "Twilight of a Champion" by The The. After releasing numerous cult EPs and three studio albums the band broke up in 2003, but re-formed briefly in 2007 for a series of concerts. In 2009 they once again re-formed and released the album data Panik etcetera in 2014. The album Slight Disconnects was released in February 2019 with the band lineup returning to the original core three-piece. An archival album, Music For Animations, consisting of music recorded in 2004 for CBBC kids TV show BB3B, was released in 2020. In 2021 the band self-released a cassette-only live album entitled The Fan Club Tapes Vol. 1 - Live In Toulouse 1997. Low Level - a CD consisting of previously unreleased material recorded during the Return To Central sessions - was also released in 2021. In October 2022 Systems Music For Home Defence was released, which Sci-Fi Steven has described as the band's "rave" album.
Louis Knox Barlow is an American alternative rock musician and songwriter. A founding member of the groups Dinosaur Jr., Sebadoh and The Folk Implosion, Barlow is credited with helping to pioneer the lo-fi style of rock music in the late 1980s and early 1990s. His first band, which was formed in Amherst, Massachusetts, was Deep Wound. Barlow was born in Dayton, Ohio, and raised in Jackson, Michigan, and Westfield, Massachusetts.
Julie Elaine Doiron is a Canadian singer-songwriter of Acadian heritage. She has been the bass guitarist and co-vocalist for the Canadian indie rock band Eric's Trip since its formation in 1990. She has released ten solo albums, beginning with 1996's Broken Girl, and is also the lead singer for the band Julie and the Wrong Guys.
Will Foster is an English musician who is known as the former keyboardist for the English rock band The Tears. Previously, he played with UK art rock band Delicatessen before forming Lodger - alongside Delicatessen singer Neil Carlill, Supergrass drummer Danny Goffey, and Goffey's wife Pearl Lowe. Since 2008, he has been associated with Jon Fratelli, playing keyboards and guitar with The Fratellis during their 2008/2009 live shows. When the band went on hiatus, he followed Jon Fratelli to his new band Codeine Velvet Club, where he also played keyboards and guitar during their 2009/2010 live shows. When the band disbanded he then played keyboard/piano with Jon's solo band.
Emma Pollock is a Scottish singer-songwriter, musician, and a founding member of the bands The Delgados and The Burns Unit. She is also one of the founders of The Fruit Tree Foundation project and a contributor to Vox Liminis, a project linking prison experience and songwriting.
The Fratellis are a Scottish rock band from Glasgow, formed in 2005. The band consists of three unrelated members, who perform under pseudonyms: lead vocalist and guitarist Jon Fratelli, bassist Barry Fratelli, and drummer Mince Fratelli. Their singles "Chelsea Dagger" and "Whistle for the Choir" were both top ten hits in the UK charts.

The Velvet Underground was an American rock band formed in New York City in 1964. It is a double A-Side with their cover of The Stone Roses' "I Am the Resurrection". The song was released on 28 December 2009, the same day as their debut album. "I Am the Resurrection" went on to be added as a bonus track on the band's debut album.
The Gospel Truth Choir is a Scottish choir which performs a wide variety of music in a gospel style. Originally formed by Tracey Braithwaite and a group of friends in 2007 for the wedding of BAFTA-winning composer Paul Leonard-Morgan, they were soon regularly performing in recording studios and on stage, as well as being a feature of many wedding ceremonies.

Uzi was an American alternative rock band, formed in 1984 in Boston, Massachusetts and disbanded in 1987. The band featured Thalia Zedek, Danny Lee (drums), Randy Barnwell, Bob Young (guitar) and Phil Milstein. Never achieving commercial success during their short period of activity, the band gained a cult following, becoming a part of Boston's underground rock scene.
Eyes Wide, Tongue Tied is the fourth album by the Scottish rock band The Fratellis. The album was announced on 1 June 2015 with the first track, "Me and the Devil", and released on 21 August 2015. The album was written and recorded in Los Angeles during November 2014 with Tony Hoffer, who also produced the band's first album Costello Music and Jon Fratelli's solo album Psycho Jukebox.
Nadéah Miranda is an Australian singer-songwriter, model, and actress. She is the cofounder of the group The Lovegods and sang with the band Nouvelle Vague before she began a solo career under the name Nadéah. She has released three solo albums, Venus Gets Even (2011), While the Heart Beats (2016) and Milk Teeth (2019).
Bright Night Flowers is the second solo album by Jon Fratelli, frontman of The Fratellis. It was released on February 15, 2019, by Cooking Vinyl. As well as being released on the standard formats of digital download, CD and standard black vinyl, the album also released a limited edition purple vinyl available from their official online store. It was co-produced by Stuart McCredie, who also produced Codeine Velvet Club.
