Louie Anne Batley [1] [2] (born 9 June 1987) is a British actress, singer, and dancer from Chorley, England. She is best known for her role as Sarah Barnes in the Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks .
Louie Anne Batley was born in Chorley on 9 June 1987. She attended Rivington Primary School [3] and Westholme Upper School in 1998 to 1999, but left due to dance commitments.
Batley had minor roles prior to her role in Hollyoaks, including a part as Angus Deayton's young girlfriend Natalie in the second series of Julia Davis' award-winning black comedy Nighty Night .
Batley played the role of Sarah Barnes on Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks from 2005 [4] until 2009.
Batley was due to appear in the second series of the BBC show Just the Two of Us , but was dropped after her professional singing partner Russell Watson quit the show due to health problems. She also performed the opening song on 2007's BBC Children in Need, along with co-stars Kevin Sacre, Gerard McCarthy and Summer Strallen. [5]

Batley and Simon Lawson, who played Simon Crosby in Hollyoaks , have set up an acting workshop for up and coming talent. [7] In 2009 they took on the lease of a public house, the Princess Victoria, in London's Earls Court Road. [8] It was announced via Verity and Violet's Twitter account that Batley and Lawson had got married in July 2013. [9] She gave birth to the couple's first child in January 2019. On 4 October 2020, Batley announced that she was pregnant with her second child.
Her brother, Tobias Batley, is a professional ballet dancer. [10]

Suzanne Ashworth is a fictional character from the British Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks, played by Suzanne Hall. She made her first on-screen appearance on 30 September 2005. Suzanne was introduced by series producer David Hanson as part of the Ashworth family. In February 2010, Suzanne was axed from the serial by new series producer Paul Marquess. Suzanne made her final appearance on 14 July 2010. Marquess stated in an interview that he was a big fan of Hall's work in the serial. In late 2010 it was revealed that Hall had returned to filming and Suzanne would be pregnant with twins. Suzanne's storylines have included trying to keep her family together, fathering a son Rhys Ashworth secretly with another man, other affairs and a feud with Kathy Barnes. She appeared as a contestant in the sixth series of Dancing on Ice in 2011, where she finished in tenth place.
Kathy Barnes is a fictional character from the British Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks, played by Sarah Jane Buckley. Kathy arrived in October 2005. In October 2007, it was announced that Kathy had been written out of the serial and would leave in January 2008. She returned briefly on 24 April 2017 for the funeral of her daughter Amy Barnes and departed the following day on 25 April 2017. Kathy returned on 4 September 2017 for Ste Hay's week-long trial. The character briefly returned in August 2016 and again in March 2017, where his youngest daughter Amy Barnes was killed off in a "whodunit" storyline. Zoe Carpenter is a fictional character from the British Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks, played by Zoë Lister. The character first appeared on-screen on 1 September 2006, as one of three new students at Hollyoaks Community College. It was announced in 2009 that Lister had quit her role in order to pursue other projects; she subsequently left the series in January 2010. During Zoe's time in Hollyoaks she has been portrayed as a bubbly tomboy who often makes the wrong choices in life and has had a number of failed relationships. In March 2017, it was reported that Lister would be reprising the role and it was later confirmed that she would return for Amy Barnes' funeral. Her return aired on 24 April 2017.

Ally Gorman is a fictional character from the Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks, played by Dan O'Connor. The actor's casting was announced in December 2011. O'Connor originally auditioned for a different role, before being asked to audition for the part of Ally. O'Connor was given the part and began filming his scenes three days later. Hollyoaks' series producer, Emma Smithwick, said that O'Connor "nailed" his audition. O'Connor signed up for an initial twelve episode stint, but his contract was extended and he became a regular cast member. The actor commutes from London to Liverpool for filming. O'Connor made his debut screen appearance as Ally during the episode broadcast on 31 January 2012. O'Connor departed Hollyoaks on 27 November 2012.
