Louise Anne de Simmy Courcy Thompson (born 26 March 1990) is a British reality television personality known primarily for appearing in the E4 reality series Made in Chelsea . [2] [3] In 2015, she appeared in the second series of The Jump where she finished fourth.

Thompson attended Downe House, before moving on to study geography at the University of Edinburgh. She graduated in 2013. [4] [5] [6]

Career

In September 2011, Thompson joined the cast of semi-reality television programme Made in Chelsea for the second series following a brief appearance during the first. In December 2014, it was announced that she would be competing in the second series of The Jump [7] [8] where she reached the final finishing in fourth place.

In 2012, Thompson co-founded the fashion business Pocket London. The company initially focused on the manufacture of denim products, however in 2017 switched to activewear. [9] [10]

She released a book, Live Well with Louise in 2018. [11] [12] Thompson runs a fitness website, Live Like Louise, that includes home workout plans and transformation packages. [13] [14] She has twice appeared on the cover of Women's Health , in July 2017 and August 2018. [15]

In September 2018, Thompson apologised after the Advertising Standards Authority criticised her for failing to make it clear that an Instagram story she posted was an advert promoting a beauty brand. [16]

Personal life

Thompson was previously in a relationship with Made In Chelsea alum Spencer Matthews. She is currently in a relationship with fellow former Made In Chelsea cast member, Ryan Libbey. The pair got engaged in Los Angeles in 2018. [17] In 2021, they welcomed their first child together a son called Leo-Hunter. [18]

In 2018, Thompson was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis. [19] She has faced health challenges since late 2021, following the birth of her child. After being hospitalized for 14 days, she was diagnosed with post-traumatic stress and lupus diagnosis. [20] She suffered a haemorrhage and lost three litres of blood and was rushed back to hospital twice in 2024. [21] [22]

Her brother is fellow Made In Chelsea personality, Sam Thompson, the 2023 winner of I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! (British TV series).

The fourteenth series of Made in Chelsea, a British structured-reality television programme began airing on 9 October 2017 on E4, and concluded on 25 December 2017 following eleven episodes and a "Christmas Ding Dong" special episode hosted by Rick Edwards. This series featured the return of former cast members Sophie Hermann and Alik Alfus, having last appeared in the ninth series and South of France spin-off respectably. This was the only series to include new cast member Charlie Mills. Other new cast members include Digby Edgley, James Taylor, Sophie "Habbs" Habboo and Clementine Cuthbertson. It was the final series to include Daisy Robins, Emily Blackwell, Ella Willis and Julius Cowdrey following their unannounced departures during the series. Tiff Watson also announced that she had left the series and would not return for the fifteenth. The series focused heavily on the aftermath of Jamie and Frankie's break-up as they both try to move on from each other, as well as Olivia's new blossoming romance with Digby, and Louise and Ryan's relationship hitting the rocks following the return of her ex-boyfriend Alik. It also included Tiff and Sam T finally accepting they're better off apart.
