Sam Robert De Courcy Thompson (born 2 August 1992) [1] is an English television personality and radio presenter. Between 2013 and 2021, he appeared in Made in Chelsea . He is also known for appearing as a contestant on Celebrity Big Brother , Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins , finishing in third place, on Celebrity Coach Trip , and several times on Celebs Go Dating . In 2022, he started hosting a Sunday radio show on Hits Radio. In 2023, he began appearing as a regular panellist on Love Island: Aftersun , as well as co-hosting the Love Island: The Morning After podcast. He won the twenty-third series of I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!.

Career

In 2013, he was cast on the E4 reality series Made in Chelsea . Thompson left the show for a time but later returned. [2] [3] [4] [5] [6]

In 2017, he was a housemate on Celebrity Big Brother 20 . He finished in third behind Sarah Harding and Amelia Lily. [7] In 2018, 2019 and 2020, he appeared on the fourth, sixth and the ninth series for guest appearance on Celebs Go Dating , making Thompson the most frequent cast member on the show. [8] In 2019, Sam was a contestant on the Celebrity Coach Trip 4 . [9] He was also on Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins , where he was shouted at by Ant Middleton. [10]

In 2021, Thompson was on The Celebrity Circle with Pete Wicks, and they came second. [11] [12] [13] Thompson also posts regularly on TikTok, partaking in pranks, dances and creates various other videos. [14]

In 2022, he began a new career as a radio host hosting a Sunday radio show on Hits Radio. [15] [16] [17] In January 2023, it was announced that Thompson would be a regular panellist on Love Island: Aftersun, alongside Indiyah Polack, as well as the new hosts of the podcast Love Island: The Morning After. In December 2023, Thompson won the twenty-third series of I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!. [19] [20]

Personal life

Thompson is a Chelsea F.C. supporter [21] [22] and he was educated at Bradfield College. [23] His mother Karen, a property developer, has had cameos with his sister, Louise Thompson in the reality TV series, Made in Chelsea. [24]

Since 2019, Thompson has been in a relationship with Zara McDermott. [25] In 2023, he was diagnosed with ADHD, Tic Syndrome and Autism. [26] [27] [28] Thompson is close friends with English television personality Pete Wicks. [29]

The third series of Love Island began on 5 June 2017 hosted by Caroline Flack on ITV2. The series concluded on 24 July 2017. It is the third from the current revived series, but fifth overall. The series was narrated by Iain Stirling. The twenty-third series of the British reality television programme The Only Way Is Essex began airing on 2 September 2018 with an Italian special as the cast flew off to Sardinia. The series was confirmed on 21 December 2017, when it was announced that a further two series had been commissioned for 2018.

The eighteenth series of Made in Chelsea, a British structured-reality television programme began airing on 2 September 2019, and concluded on 11 November 2019 following eleven episodes. For the first time since 2013, a Summer spin-off did not air between the two main series. Instead, one will follow later in the year. New cast members for this series included Reza Amiri-Garroussi and Zara McDermott, who had previously appeared on Love Island. This series also featured the return of former cast members Sam Thompson, Emily Blackwell, Tristan Phipps and Tabitha Willett.

The Masked Singer is a British reality singing competition television series that premiered on ITV1 on 4 January 2020. It is based on the Masked Singer franchise which originated from the South Korean version of the show King of Mask Singer which features celebrties singing famous songs while wearing head-to-toe costumes and face masks concealing their identites. In February 2022, the show was recommissioned for a fourth and fifth series. The show won an International Emmy for Best Non-Scripted Entertainment in 2021.

The twentieth series of Made in Chelsea, a British structured-reality television programme began airing on 28 September 2020 and concluded after twelve episodes on 14 December. Following the suspension of filming of the previous series due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was announced that the cast would be following government guidelines whilst filming this series. Some of the cast moved into country houses located in Surrey where they were quarantined together, whilst the others filmed with social distancing to protect cast and crew. The series ended with a special "Made in Chelsea: The Wedding" episode focused on the wedding of Ollie and Gareth, which was brought forward following the announcement of the second national lockdown.

Abbie Chatfield is an Australian media personality, television host, radio presenter and podcaster. She is best known for her appearances in reality television as both a contestant and host, she also currently serves as a panellist on The Masked Singer Australia. She is also well known for her political activism in progressive politics, which she speaks about on her podcast, "It's A Lot with Abbie Chatfield".

Amber Rose Gill is an English television personality and author. In 2019, she won the fifth series of Love Island. She has since presented the ITV series The Full Treatment (2021), as well as competing on the Channel 4 survival series Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins (2022). Eyal Adi Booker is an English media personality. Whilst attending the Sylvia Young Theatre School, he was selected as a member of the music group EverYoung. Then in 2018, he was a contestant on the fourth series of Love Island. Booker later went on to appear on Celebs on the Ranch and Celebs Go Dating, as well as The X Factor: Celebrity as part of the group No Love Lost.
