Louise Anne de Courcy Thompson (born 26 March 1990) is a British reality television personality known primarily for appearing in the E4 reality series Made in Chelsea . [2] [3] In 2015, she appeared in the second series of The Jump where she finished fourth. Louise has a strong social media presence, where she shares insights on fitness, health, and motherhood, making her a well-known figure in the wellness and lifestyle industry.

Thompson attended Downe House, before moving on to study geography at the University of Edinburgh. She graduated in 2013. [4] [5] [6]

Career

In September 2011, Thompson joined the cast of semi-reality television programme Made in Chelsea for the second series following a brief appearance during the first. In December 2014, it was announced that she would be competing in the second series of The Jump [7] [8] where she reached the final finishing in fourth place.

In 2012, Thompson co-founded the fashion business Pocket London. The company initially focused on the manufacture of denim products, however in 2017 switched to activewear. [9] [10]

Louise Thompson has successfully leveraged her social media presence to become a prominent voice in the wellness and lifestyle space. With her candid posts about fitness, mental health, and motherhood, she has built a loyal following on platforms like Instagram and YouTube, where she openly shares her personal journey. Beyond her online influence, Louise is also involved with the *Turtle App*, a mental health-focused platform designed to support users in tracking their emotions and well-being, aligning with her commitment to promote mindfulness and self-care. In 2023, Louise published her book, *"Lucky"*, which candidly explores her own struggles with mental health, body image, and the challenges of balancing career and personal life. Louise Thompson co-hosts a podcast with her fiancé, Ryan Libbey, titled "He Said She Said". Personal life

Thompson was previously in a relationship with Made In Chelsea alum Spencer Matthews. She is currently in a relationship with fellow former Made In Chelsea cast member, Ryan Libbey. The pair got engaged in Los Angeles in 2018. [12] In 2021, they welcomed their first child together a son called Leo-Hunter. [13]

In 2018, Thompson was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis. [14] She has faced health challenges since late 2021, following the birth of her child. After being hospitalized for 14 days, she was diagnosed with post-traumatic stress and lupus diagnosis. [15] She suffered a haemorrhage and lost three litres of blood and was rushed back to hospital twice in 2024. [16] [17]

Her brother is fellow Made In Chelsea personality, Sam Thompson, the 2023 winner of I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! (British TV series).

Made in Chelsea: South of France, a spin-off series of Made in Chelsea, a British structured-reality television programme, was confirmed on 8 June 2016, and began airing on 1 August 2016. and concluded after six episodes on 5 September 2016. It was announced that the cast of Made in Chelsea would be travelling to Cannes to film a special series of the show. The fifteenth series of Made in Chelsea, a British structured-reality television programme began airing on 12 March 2018 on E4, and concluded on 28 May 2018 following eleven episodes, and an "End of Season Party" special hosted by Ellie Taylor. Ahead of the series it was announced that Tiff Watson had quit the show for good, having previously announced that she'd just be taking a break. New cast members for this series include Melissa Tattam and Miles Nazaire, as well as Heloise "Ell" Agostinelli and Tabitha Willett who joined later in the series. Stanley Johnson also made his first appearance during this series with Toff following their appearances together in the seventeenth series of I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! Made in Chelsea: Croatia, a spin-off series of Made in Chelsea, a British structured-reality television programme which began airing on 6 August 2018, and concluded after 6 episodes on 10 September 2018. The series was confirmed on 21 May 2018 This was a stand-alone series which was not promoted as the sixteenth series. The sixteenth series followed later in the year. This is the fifth spin-off show filmed away from Chelsea following NYC in 2014, LA in 2015, South of France in 2016, and Ibiza in 2017.

The seventeenth series of Made in Chelsea, a British structured-reality television programme began airing on 25 March 2019, and concluded on 17 June 2019 following thirteen episodes, making this the longest series to date. Ahead of the series it was announced that Sam Thompson, Louise Thompson, Ryan Libbey, Ollie Locke, Emily Blackwell, Tristan Phipps and Heloise "Ell" Agostinelli had decided to quit the series, and was the first series to include new cast members Amelia Mist, Angus Findlay, Freddie Browne, Hugo Leefe, Maeva D'Ascanio, Ollie Buck, Rosi Mai Waldon, Sammy Allsop and Verity Scarlett Bowditch.

Made in Chelsea: Buenos Aires, a spin-off series of Made in Chelsea, a British structured-reality television programme began airing on 9 December 2019, and concluded on 30 December 2019 following four episodes and a special "End of Yah Quiz" hosted by Matt Edmondson and Mollie King. This makes this the shortest of the show's "Out of Chelsea" spin-offs. The series was confirmed on 4 November 2019 when it was announced that the cast of Made in Chelsea would be travelling to Buenos Aires, Argentina to film a special version of the show, however the final episode of the series was filmed back in Chelsea.
