Louise Trotter is an English fashion designer and soon-to-be creative director of fashion brand Bottega Veneta. She previously worked for numerous clothing stores, retail chains, and fashion brands.

Early life

Born in Sunderland, in England, [1] Trotter studied fashion at the Northumbria University of Newcastle, where she graduated in 1991. [2] [3]

Career

Trotter started working at Whistles and was promoted to Creative Director.[ when? ] She then relocated to New-York to become Head of Womenswear at Calvin Klein, before stepping as Vice-President of Womenswear Design at Gap, [3] before moving to another PVH brand as SVP Creative Director at Tommy Hilfiger. [4] [5] She then moved back to the United-Kingdom to take over the role of Creative Director at Jigsaw. [6]

In 2009 Trotter debuted as Creative Director for Joseph, where she remained for more than 9 years, until 2018. [7] [8]

In 2018 she became creative director of Lacoste. [9] [10] In 2019, she was awarded an Honorary Doctor of Civil Law Degree by Northumbria University. [3]

In February 2023, Trotter took over the creative direction of Carven [11] after leaving Lacoste at the beginning of the same year. [12]

On 12 December 2024, Carven and Kering announced her withdrawal from Carven direction [13] and her debuts as creative director for Bottega Veneta, [14] [15] starting from January 2025. [16]

Stuart Vevers is a British fashion designer. He graduated from the University of Westminster in 1996. His first job was at Calvin Klein, followed by Bottega Veneta, Givenchy and Louis Vuitton, where he worked with Marc Jacobs. He joined Mulberry as creative director in 2005 and was instrumental in the company's success, transforming their leather goods into the must-have bags. He has also collaborated with Luella Bartley and Designer of the Year, Giles Deacon. In 2006, he won the British Fashion Council's Accessory Designer of the Year award. In July 2007 it was announced that he had been appointed creative director of Loewe, and, on 25 June 2013, Vevers was announced to be the executive creative director at American label Coach.

Alessandro Michele is an Italian fashion designer and creative director of Valentino. He grew to international recognition as the creative director of Gucci, the Italian fashion luxury house where he worked from 2002 to 2022. Known for his maximalist designs, Alessandro Michele revived Gucci's popularity, most notably with a Geek-Chic aesthetic. He had been responsible for all of Gucci's collections and global brand image from January 2015 until he stepped down from the role in November 2022.
