Danielle Jane Minogue is an Australian singer, television personality and actress. She came to prominence for her appearances on the television show Young Talent Time (1982–1988) and for her role as Emma Jackson on the soap opera Home and Away (1989–1990). Minogue began her music career in the early 1990s, achieving early success with her debut studio album, Love and Kisses (1991); the album was certified gold by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI) and included the hit singles "Love and Kisses", "Baby Love", "Jump to the Beat" and "Success". Neon Nights is the fourth studio album by Australian singer Dannii Minogue. It was released by London Records on 17 March 2003 and was primarily produced by Ian Masterson, Korpi & Blackcell, Neïmo and Terry Ronald. It was re-issued in November 2007 with a bonus disc of remixes and different artwork. In June 2018, to celebrate its 15th anniversary, the album was released on vinyl for the first time. An expanded 33-track reissue was released on 16 June 2023 in celebration of Neon Nights' twentieth anniversary.

The album features all fourteen of Minogue's singles released between 1990 and 1998. The tracklist opts for the original album versions of each song rather than their respective single versions, with the exceptions of "Jump to the Beat" and "Baby Love", which were not included on Minogue's original debut, Dannii but on it's Australian re-issue Love and Kisses and.... The album includes the UK-only single "Love's on Every Corner" and the Australian-only single "Coconut", which was a hidden track on Girl. Since the compilation was a catalogue release, it was ineligible to chart on the Australian albums chart.
