Stars is a Canadian indie pop/rock band based in Montreal, Quebec. Since forming in 2000, they have released nine albums and a number of EPs. Their music has been nominated for two Juno Awards and two Polaris Music Prizes.

They have released four albums and are signed to Paper Bag Records in Canada and Saddle Creek Records internationally. In 2011, they were nominated for a Polaris Music Prize.
Olenka and the Autumn Lovers are a Canadian indie folk band from Vancouver, British Columbia. Fronted by Polish-born singer-songwriter Olenka Krakus, the band's sound is a mix of orchestral folk-pop with elements reminiscent of classic country and folk music, and Eastern European folk. The band uses diverse instruments to showcase Krakus' songwriting.

Rah Rah was an indie rock musical group formed in 2006 in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. They toured extensively across North America and Europe. The band released four full-length albums, including 2015's Vessels. After a three-year hiatus, the band played three final live shows in December of 2019 and disbanded.

July is Marissa Nadler's sixth full-length studio album, released in the UK on February 10, 2014, on Bella Union and in North America on Sacred Bones Records. The album was recorded at Seattle's Avast Studios and produced by Randall Dunn. Meeting with a largely positive reception, it debuted at No. 16 on the Billboard Folk Albums chart and No. 14 on the Billboard Top Heatseekers Albums chart. PopMatters called the album a "triumph" and "one of 2014's best albums so far," while Spin called it a "masterfully composed release". Noisey wrote that "the darkly lit July is a moody trip through heat spells and night drives... Nadler's quiet songwriting and ethereal sound give July a sound that's, at times, almost sinister."

Hunting Ghosts is the debut release from Regina, Saskatchewan indie pop collective Library Voices. The six-song studio extended play (EP) was released on August 15, 2008 on Young Soul Records. Recorded with up to as many as ten musicians, Hunting Ghosts is described as musically similar to styles of eighties synth pop containing varied influence from pop/punk, indie rock, new age and jazz. Lyrically, the album contains many references to twentieth century authors, situations, and quotations. Hunting Ghosts was nominated for Independent Album of the Year for 2009's Western Canada Music Awards.

Denim on Denim was recorded with up to eight different musicians playing in band, and continued the guitar-and-keyboards synthpop sound of their first release, 2008's Hunting Ghosts EP. Denim on Denim was nominated for Independent Album of the Year in the 2010 Western Canadian Music Awards.

The album was released on August 23, 2011 as the first for the band on Toronto-based independent label Nevado Records. The first single from the album, "Generation Handclap," peaked at number 23 on AMC's Canada Alternative Rock chart.
For John is the second extended play album from Regina, Saskatchewan indie pop collective Library Voices. The album was released on June 14, 2014 on the band's own Prairie Shag Recordings. For John is a radical departure in style and sound for Library Voices. Previous albums featured clean production with a heavy emphasis on synthpop, whereas For John is stripped down, lo-fi guitar rock in style of early FM radio.

The Dead South is a folk-bluegrass musical ensemble based in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. The band was initially formed in 2012 as a quartet by Nate Hilts, Scott Pringle, Danny Kenyon and Colton Crawford (banjo). Crawford left the band in 2015 and was replaced by studio musician Eliza Mary Doyle for several years. Crawford re-joined the band starting with the Voices In Your Head tour in mid-2018. Kenyon left the band in 2020 after sexual misconduct allegations, but rejoined in 2021.
The Beaches are a Canadian rock band formed in Toronto in 2013 by Jordan Miller, Kylie Miller, Leandra Earl, and Eliza Enman-McDaniel (drums). The band released two EPs titled The Beaches (2013) and Heights (2014) before signing to Island Records. In 2017, they released their debut album Late Show, which led to the band winning the 2018 Juno Award for Breakthrough Group of the Year. To follow their debut, they released two further EPs called The Professional (2019) and Future Lovers (2021). A 2022 compilation album Sisters Not Twins combined their previous two EPs and won that year's Juno Award for Rock Album of the Year. Their second studio album Blame My Ex will be released independently on September 15, 2023.
