Lovitt Records is an independent record label that was founded in 1995 by Brian Lowit while he was a student at Guilford College in Greensboro, North Carolina. [1] In 1998, Lovitt moved to Arlington, Virginia. The label is distributed by Dischord Records. [2] The label has mostly worked with artists from Washington, D.C., Richmond, Virginia, Chicago, Illinois, and Chapel Hill, North Carolina and has focused on genres such as hardcore punk, post-hardcore, emo, and math rock. [3]

Lauryn Noelle Hill is an American singer, songwriter, rapper, and record producer. She is often regarded as one of the greatest rappers of all time, as well as being one of the most influential singers of her generation. Mount Jefferson (Oregon)

Mount Jefferson is a stratovolcano in the Cascade Volcanic Arc, part of the Cascade Range in the U.S. state of Oregon. The second highest mountain in Oregon, it is situated within Linn County, Jefferson County, and Marion County and forms part of the Mount Jefferson Wilderness. Due to the ruggedness of its surroundings, the mountain is one of the hardest volcanoes to reach in the Cascades. Ruby is the collaboration of singer Lesley Rankine and Mark Walk. Rankine relocated from London to Seattle to collaborate with the producer in 1994. Exotic Fever Records

Exotic Fever Records is an independent record label founded by Bonnie Schlegel in 2000 in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. Schlegel, formerly of the band Bald Rapunzel, enlisted the help of drummer Katy Otto in running the label. Currently operated by Otto in Philadelphia, bands have included The Shondes, Pygmylush, and 1905, which released their only album on the label. To date, the label has issued over 50 releases, including an array of benefit compilations such as Keep Singing! A Benefit Compilation for Compassion Over Killing.

The High Com noise reduction system was developed by Telefunken, Germany, in the 1970s as a high quality high compression analogue compander for audio recordings.
