Loyd King (born May 29, 1949) is a former professional basketball player. He played two seasons in the American Basketball Association (ABA).
King was born Loyd Harold King in Asheville, North Carolina on May 29, 1949. [1] He played high school basketball at Clyde A. Erwin High School in Asheville, North Carolina. He played at the collegiate level at Virginia Tech, and was inducted into the school's sports hall of fame in 1998.
King played two seasons in the American Basketball Association for the Memphis Pros/Tams. Previously, he had been drafted by the Milwaukee Bucks in the fifteenth round of the 1971 NBA draft.

Robert Bower "Buzz" Peterson Jr. is an American basketball executive who is the assistant general manager for the Charlotte Hornets of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He has also coached college basketball, most recently as the head coach of the UNC Wilmington Seahawks men's basketball team. He was fired by UNC Wilmington at the conclusion of the 2014 season. Peterson was the head coach of the Tennessee Volunteers basketball team for four years before being fired in 2005. He previously coached a second stint at Appalachian State—he coached the 2009–10 Mountaineers, as well as the 1996 to 2000 squads. Previously, he was the men's basketball head coach at the University of Tulsa and at Coastal Carolina University, a position he held until mid-2007, when he left the program to be executive with the Charlotte Bobcats of the NBA.

Matthew Dickey is an American basketball player who is best known for his collegiate career at the University of North Carolina at Asheville. A 6'1" point guard, Dickey guided the Bulldogs to consecutive NCAA Tournament berths in 2011 and 2012. As a senior in 2011–12 he was named the Big South Conference's Player of the Year; he led the team with a 16.1 points per game average en route to conference regular season and conference tournament championships. UNC Asheville set a school record with 24 wins that year.
