Lucas Pettersson (born 17 April 2006) is a Swedish professional ice hockey center for Modo Hockey of the Swedish Hockey League (SHL). He was drafted 35th overall by the Anaheim Ducks in the 2024 NHL entry draft.

Playing career

A product of the Modo Hockey system, Pettersson made his Swedish Hockey League (SHL) debut in November 2023, and signed a contract extension through 2027 on 8 December. [1] In 44 games at the J20 Nationell level in 2023–24, he recorded 27 goals and 54 points. He also appeared in five games at the SHL level. [2] Described as a defensive-minded, dual threat passer and shooter with a good snapshot, Pettersson was projected as a late first or early second round pick entering the 2024 NHL entry draft.
