Luck of Our Own is an album by American country music singer Dale Daniel. (Lisa Dale Daniel) It was released in 1993 via BNA Records, a division of RCA records which at the time was known as BNA Entertainment. The album produced the singles "You Gave Her Your Name" and "Coming Back to Haunt Me". Jerry Crutchfield produced. Keith Urban later covered the title track on his album, KU. The album features background vocals by Carol Ann Etheridge Ford, Gary Burr, Curtis “Mr.Harmony” young,and Dale. Burr also was the co-writer of Luck Of Our Own with Dale.

Critical reception

The album received positive reviews. Entertainment Weekly critic Alanna Nash gave it a B, saying that Daniel did not act as a "clone of country's leading divas." [1] Jim Ridley of New Country magazine gave the album three stars out of five, comparing Daniel's voice to Kathie Baillie of Baillie & the Boys, also saying "the songs[…] tread familiar ground with enough honest feeling and detail to signify promise down the line." [2] Billboard also gave a favorable review, saying that her "songwriting will separate Daniel from the pack." [3]

Turner Nichols was an American country music duo composed of singer-songwriters Zack Turner and Tim Nichols. Signed to BNA Records in 1993, the duo recorded a self-titled debut album for the label that year, with two of that album's singles charting on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks charts. Although it was their only recording together, both members of the duo wrote several songs together in the 1990s, including hit singles for Keith Whitley and Jo Dee Messina.

Lisa Dale Daniel is an American country music artist. She has recorded one studio album, Luck of Our Own. Daniel is the daughter of songwriter Naomi Martin, whose credits include the Grammy nominated "Let's Take the Long Way Around the World" by Ronnie Milsap and "My Eyes Can Only See as Far as You" by Charley Pride. Daniel and Martin also co-wrote the track "Someone to Call Me Darling" on Lorrie Morgan's 1992 album Watch MeShe also co-penned a Barbara Mandrel and Lee Greewood duet, “I’d Give Anything to be Everything to You”. which also featured Daniel on background vocals.
