Lucky Duck is a Canadian animated television special produced by Nelvana for Disney Junior, which originally aired on June 20, 2014. [1] It stars Christian Borle, Tom Cavanagh, and Megan Hilty. [2] [3] It is the first original telefilm produced by Disney Junior. [4]

Premise

Lucky, a small rubber duck, prepares to leave the toy factory where he was born to be shipped to the store. He is thrown away from the toy factory due to his faulty whistle. Eager to leave the factory he manages to return to a box of toys ready to board the cargo ship. Lucky inadvertently is thrown off a cargo ship during a storm, and teams up with a pair of tub toy friends including Flo, a hippo with mismatched eyes, and Snap, a timid turtle, to find a place to live. He is a two-time Tony Award winner for his roles as Black Stache in Peter and the Starcatcher and as William Shakespeare in Something Rotten! Borle also originated the roles of Prince Herbert, et al. in Spamalot, Emmett in Legally Blonde, and Joe in Some Like It Hot on Broadway. He starred as Marvin in the 2016 Broadway revival of Falsettos. He also starred as Tom Levitt on the NBC musical-drama television series Smash and Vox in the adult animated black comedy musical series Hazbin Hotel.

Friendly Floatees are plastic bath toys marketed by The First Years and made famous by the work of Curtis Ebbesmeyer, an oceanographer who models ocean currents on the basis of flotsam movements.
