Lucy De Ville were an Australian acoustic pop band. Their line-up consisted of Shaun Gardener, Marcella Russo and Marisa Warrington, all of whom had acted in the television soap opera Neighbours . They issued a self-titled album in 2006.

History

Lucy De Ville were formed as an acoustic pop group in Melbourne by Shaun Gardener on guitar and vocals and Marcella Russo on lead vocals who were neighbours. [1] They had performed together as members of an earlier band Swallow. [1] [2] After that group broke up they began working together and formed Lucy De Ville as a duo. [1] Their first release, Looking for a Sign appeared in 2004. [3] Soon after Marisa Warrington joined on co-lead vocals creating the trio version. [1] [2]

Gardener was also a member of the cover band 21-20 since early 1990s. He had fronted the house band for TV sports and variety show, Live and Kicking (1998–1999) and had been a regular on infotainment programme Good Morning Australia (early 2000s). Gardener has written music with fellow 21-20 member Tim Rosewarne (ex-Big Pig, Chocolate Starfish). [4] Russo performed as Liljana Bishop in Neighbours (2003–2005). She is an Adelaide performer who moved to Melbourne in 1995, working in both states in television, theatre, film and radio and fronting bands. She played the character of Magenta in a one-off benefit production of The Rocky Horror Show at the Regent Theatre in November 2004 featuring Neighbours cast members. [5] [6] It raised money for Variety Club Australia and the Taralye School for Deaf Children. [5] [6] Warrington portrayed Sindi Watts in Neighbours (2002, 2003, 2004–2005). She had trained in the UK with the Royal Shakespeare Company and returned to Australia to perform with the Australian Shakespeare Company and the Melbourne Theatre Company. She has many television credits. A classical singer, Warrington also studied at the Victoria Ballet School and appeared as Columbia in the charity performance of The Rocky Horror Show alongside Russo. [5] [6]

Lucy De Ville's debut performance was on 23 June 2005 at a benefit concert by various artists, Neighbours Rock 4 AIDS. [2] [7] They issued their debut, self-titled studio album in January 2006. [8]

Unwritten Law is an American punk rock band formed in 1990 in Poway, California by drummer Wade Youman. The band has undergone multiple line-up changes, with Youman the sole remaining original member – however, he has left the group twice in its three-decade history. They are best known for their singles "Seein' Red" and "Save Me ," both of which peaked in the top 5 in the US Modern Rock charts and the former topping it. The band have also toured extensively both nationally and internationally, most notably as part of the Warped Tour. The band has released seven full-length studio albums to date; their most recent, The Hum, was released in 2022.

Marcella "Chel" Russo is an Australian actress who is best known for her playing role as Liljana Bishop in the Australian soap opera Neighbours from 2003 until 2005.

David Bishop (<i>Neighbours</i>) Soap opera character

David Bishop is a fictional character from the Australian soap opera Neighbours, played by Kevin Harrington. He made his first screen appearance during the episode broadcast on 11 May 1988, arriving for his father Harold's wedding to Madge Ramsay. David, along with his wife Lilijana and daughter Serena, returned in October 2003. In May 2005, it was announced that the family had been axed and David departed on 25 October 2005.

Daniel James Hall is an Australian musician from Melbourne who has been in two rock bands, Taxiride and Airway Lanes. "The plane crash" is a storyline from the Australian television soap opera Neighbours that began on 24 October 2005 when an aeroplane, carrying several characters, crashed in Bass Strait after a bomb was detonated during the journey. The storyline aired as part of the show's 20th anniversary and would be the catalyst for several major storylines that aired the following year. "The plane crash" also saw the departures of three established characters: David, Liljana and Serena Bishop. The actors' departures had been announced in May 2005, but it was not confirmed they would depart during "The plane crash" until their last scenes aired.
