Lucy Lee Flippin is an American actress. Born July 23, 1943 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA
Flippin was born in Philadelphia and raised in Douglassville, Pennsylvania. She attended Northwestern University and spent a year performing with Holiday on Ice before pursuing a career in acting. [1] Later she studied acting under Uta Hagen. [2]
She initially began her career in New York City where she eventually got several TV commercials and off-Broadway theatre work, most notably opposite Richard Gere in a Lincoln Center production of A Midsummer Night's Dream . [1] At the advice of her agent, she relocated to Los Angeles where she would get roles in television series and films. [1]
She played Eliza Jane Wilder on the TV series Little House on the Prairie . She played Fran Castleberry, the younger sister of Polly Holliday's character on the show Flo . [1] [2] After Little House on the Prairie stopped production, she appeared in many different television shows and movies, and has performed onstage at Geffen Playhouse in Los Angeles. [3] She retired in 2008.

Flo is an American sitcom television series and a spin-off of Alice that aired on CBS from March 24, 1980, to June 30, 1981. The series starred Polly Holliday reprising her role as sassy and street-smart waitress Florence Jean "Flo" Castleberry who returns to her hometown of Fort Worth, Texas—referred to as "Cowtown"—and becomes the proprietor of a rundown old roadhouse that she renames "Flo's Yellow Rose". Although the series started strong—in the Top 10 during its short first season run—repeated timeslot changes resulted in it falling out of the Top 40 shows by mid-March 1981. It was subsequently not renewed when CBS announced its 1981 fall lineup at the May upfronts.
