Lugari is a shopping center in Kakamega County in the former Western Province of Kenya. [1] Until 2010, it was the capital of the former Lugari District. The shopping center is located 10 kilometres east of Webuye. Lugari has an average population of 5000 Lugari has two constituencies: Likuyani and Lugari. [1]

Nyamninia is a village in the Gem Location, Yala division of Siaya County, Kenya. Situated approximately 30 miles from Kisumu city, Nyamninia is home to the 100 kilowatts medium wave radio transmitters set up by Voice of Kenya (VoK); now renamed Kenya Broadcastic Corporation (KBC). It was the birthplace of the legendary Gem clan chief, Odera Kang'o who started a rice plantation scheme in the area about one hundred years ago. The Gem chief was responsible for construction the numerous schools in the region before his enforced exile in 1915, to Kampala, Uganda by the British colonialists.
Ugunja town is a market town in western Kenya, located in Ugunja Division, Siaya County. It has a population of approximately 17,000 and is rapidly growing. Ugunja Division had a population of 79,113 according to the 1999 Kenyan census. This population grew to 104,241 people according 2019 Kenya Population and Housing Census which was conducted by the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics (KNBS). Most of the inhabitants in Ugunja are Luos.

Rancho Cañada de la Carpenteria was a 2,236-acre (9.05 km2) Mexican land grant in present day Monterey County, California given in 1835 by Governor José Castro to Joaquín Soto. The name means valley of the carpenter's shop. The grant was near the San Benito County, California line, in hilly terrain north of Rancho Los Carneros and encompassed the former settlement of Dunbarton.

Kote Sangi is a neighborhood and major intersection in western Kabul, Afghanistan, mostly part of District 5 with some parts in District 3. It is one of the city's most populated urban areas, located south of the Silo Road and west of Deh Bori and Kabul University. The roads link it to Afshar, Darulaman, Paghman and downtown Kabul. To the south-west are shanty areas nearby Dasht-e Barchi. In 2011 the country's first skyway, Kote Sangi Bridge, was built there which is 650 m long and 14 m high. Its location is centered on Mirwais Maidan.
