The Orioles pitching staff allowed 209 home runs, 1,604 hits and had an ERA of 5.15. The Orioles defeated the Cleveland Indians in the ALDS and then lost in the ALCS to the New York Yankees.
Luís Miguel Fastudo e Costa is a former Angolan professional basketball player. He played for C.R.D. Libolo at the Angolan major basketball league BIC Basket until 2015. He is a former member of the Angola national basketball team. He is 6 ft 4 in (1.93 m) in height and 93 kg in weight. He represented Angola at the 2006 FIBA World Championship, the FIBA Africa Championship 2007 and the 2008 Summer Olympics.
Jacob Everse Pullen is an American-Georgian professional basketball player for Napoli Basket of the Italian Lega Basket Serie A (LBA). He played for the Kansas State Wildcats. Pullen has both American and Georgian citizenship, and has played for the Georgian national team.
Huskies of Honor is a recognition program sponsored by the University of Connecticut (UConn). Similar to a hall of fame, it honors the most significant figures in the history of the UConn Huskies—the university's athletic teams—especially the men's and women's basketball teams. The inaugural honorees, inducted in two separate ceremonies during the 2006–07 season, included thirteen men's basketball players, ten women's basketball players, and four head coaches, of whom two coaches—Jim Calhoun and Geno Auriemma—and two players—Ray Allen and Rebecca Lobo—are also enshrined in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. Since that time, an additional nine women's basketball players, seven men's basketball players, five national championship teams, one women's basketball assistant coach, and one athletic director have been honored.
The Manhattan Jaspers men's basketball team is the basketball team that represents Manhattan College in The Bronx, New York City, New York, United States. The school's team currently competes in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. They have won the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference tournament championship five times. The Jaspers have had three players named Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Player of the Year, most recently Luis Flores in 2003. Luis Flores is also the Manhattan Jaspers all-time leading scorer with 2046 points from 2001-2004. Their current head coach is John Gallagher, who was hired from the University of Hartford in March of 2023.

Terrance Jacobs is an American former professional basketball player whose career took him to leagues in Hong Kong, Austria, Germany, Honduras, as well as domestic leagues in the United States. He played point guard and shooting guard. While in college, Jacobs was the 1992 East Coast Conference Player of the Year as a senior at Towson.
