Luis Miguel Navas (born 1980) is a baseball player for Cuba. He was part of the Cuban team which won a silver medal at the 2008 Summer Olympics. He plays shortstop. [1]

He now resides in Havana, Cuba.

Andrés Simón Gómez is a former sprinter from Cuba who won an Olympic bronze medal in 4 x 100 metres relay in 1992 Barcelona. He also participated in the relay at the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta. He specialized in the 60 meters and 100 metres events. His personal best for the 100m is 10.06, set in Havana 1987. He won the gold medal in the 60 m competition at the 1989 IAAF World Indoor Championships in Budapest.

Lázaro Martínez Despaigne is a retired Cuban sprinter who specialized in the 400 metres. He was born in La Lisa, Havana.

Rodolfo A. Falcón Cabrera is a 3-time Olympic swimmer from Cuba, and has been called the country's best swimmer ever. Since 2006, he has been the country's National Commissioner for swimming.

Ariel Osvaldo Pestano Valdés, better known as El Veterano, is a Cuban baseball catcher, and is known as one of the greatest catchers in Cuban history. He has won both silver and gold medals in the Olympic Games and also played catcher on Cuba's World Baseball Classic team in March 2006 and March 2009. In Cuba, Pestano plays with the Villa Clara Naranjas of the Cuban National Series.

Pedro Luis Lazo Iglesias is a top pitcher in Cuban baseball. He is used predominantly as a reliever in international competition, although he is a starter in the Cuban National Series, where he plays for Pinar del Río. His fastball has been clocked at 97 mph, and he combined it with a mid 80s slider.

Leandro Santiago Peñalver González is a retired Cuban athlete who competed in the sprints. His personal best is 10.06 seconds, achieved in Caracas in 1983. Despite having much international success, he never competed in the Olympics, as Cuba boycotted both the 1984 Summer Olympics and the 1988 Summer Olympics.

Orestes Kindelán Olivares is a Cuban former first baseman and left fielder in the Cuban National Series (SNB), spending his entire 21-year career with Avispas de Oriente / Avispas de Santiago de Cuba. Known as "El Cañon de Dos Rios", he was regarded as the most prolific home run hitter in the history of post-revolutionary Cuban baseball, as well as being an offensive powerhouse for the Cuban national baseball team, which won numerous World Cups and two Olympic gold medals during his tenure. He is a cousin of amateur boxer Mario Kindelán.

Ruperto Nicolás Herrera Tabio is a former basketball player from Cuba. At a height of 2.00 m tall, and a weight of 95 kg (210 lbs.), he played at the shooting guard and small forward positions. He received the FIBA Order of Merit in 1999, and he became a FIBA Hall of Fame player, in 2015. He was awarded with the Olympic Order, in 2019.

Frederich Cepeda Cruz is a Cuban professional baseball outfielder for the Gallos de Sancti Spiritus of the Cuban National Series. He also played in Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB) for the Yomiuri Giants.

Neisser S. Bent Vázquez is a former international backstroke swimmer from Cuba, who swam at the 1996 and 2000 Olympics. At the '96 Games, he won the bronze medal in the 100 m backstroke, just behind fellow countryman Rodolfo Falcón. These are the only Olympic medals that Cuba has ever won in swimming.

It was created in Havana in 1926; however, it was not formally recognized by the IOC until 1955. The organization is currently directed by José Fernández Álvarez.

Carlos Teodor de Cárdenas Culmell (1904–1994) was a Cuban Olympic sailor who won a silver medal in the 1948 Summer Olympics. He also placed fourth in the 1952 Summer Olympics and sixth in the 1956 Summer Olympics.
