Luis Miguel Ralda Moreno (born 17 January 1963) was Minister of National Defense of Guatemala. [1]

The city is located in the south-central part of the country,nestled in a mountain valley called Valle de la Ermita.
Politics of Guatemala takes place in a framework of a presidential representative democratic republic,where by the President of Guatemala is both head of state,head of government,and of a multi-party system. Executive power is exercised by the government. Legislative power is vested in both the government and the Congress of the Republic. The judiciary is independent of the executive and the legislature. The economy of Guatemala is a considered a developing economy,highly dependent on agriculture,particularly on traditional crops such as coffee,sugar,and bananas. However,Guatemala remains one of the poorest countries in Latin America and the Caribbean,having highly unequal incomes and chronically malnourished children. The country is beset by political insecurity,and lacks skilled workers and infrastructure. It depends on remittances for nearly one-tenth of the GDP.
Antigua Guatemala,commonly known as Antigua or La Antigua,is a city in the central highlands of Guatemala. The city was the capital of the Captaincy General of Guatemala from 1543 through 1773,with much of its Baroque-influenced architecture and layout dating from that period. These characteristics had it designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979. Antigua Guatemala serves as the capital of the homonymous municipality and the Sacatepéquez Department.

The national flag of Guatemala,often referred to as "Pabellón Nacional" or "Azul y Blanco" features two colors:sky blue and white. The two sky blue stripes represent the fact that Guatemala is a land located between two oceans,the Pacific Ocean and the Atlantic Ocean;and the sky over the country. The white signifies peace and purity. The blue and white colors,like those of several other countries in the region,are based on the flag of the former Federal Republic of Central America.

The Congress of the Republic is the unicameral legislature of the Republic of Guatemala. The Guatemalan Congress is made up of 160 deputies who are elected by direct universal suffrage to serve four-year terms. The electoral system is closed party list proportional representation. 31 of the deputies are elected on a nationwide list,whilst the remaining 127 deputies are elected in 22 multi-member constituencies. Each of Guatemala's 22 departments serves as a district,with the exception of the department of Guatemala containing the capital,which on account of its size is divided into two (distrito central and distrito Guatemala). The Guatemalan Civil War was a civil war in Guatemala fought from 1960 to 1996 between the government of Guatemala and various leftist rebel groups. The government forces have been condemned for committing genocide against the Maya population of Guatemala during the civil war and for widespread human rights violations against civilians. The context of the struggle was based on longstanding issues of unfair land distribution. Wealthy Guatemalans,mainly European-descended,and foreign companies such as the American United Fruit Company had dominated control over much of the land,and paid almost zero taxes in return –leading to conflicts with the rural indigenous poor who worked the land under miserable terms.
The National Football Federation of Guatemala,known as Fedefut Guate or FENAFUTG,is the governing body of football in Guatemala. It organizes the football league,Liga Nacional de Guatemala,Primera División de Ascenso,Segunda División de Ascenso,Copa de Guatemala,the Guatemala national football team,and the Guatemala women's national football team. Its offices are located in Guatemala City.
