Lukas Emanuel Petkov (born 1 November 2000) is a professional footballer who plays as a forward for German 2. Bundesliga club SV Elversberg. [2] [3] Born in Germany, he plays for the Bulgaria national team.
On 22 May 2021, Petkov made his Bundesliga debut for FC Augsburg in a 5–2 defeat against Bayern Munich. [4] On 2 June he signed a new contract with Augsburg until June 2024, and was then sent for a season long loan to 3. Liga team SC Verl. [5] On 31 January 2023 Augsburg extended Petkov's contract until the summer of 2026 and send him on loan to 2. Bundesliga team SpVgg Greuther Fürth until the end of season. [6] On 19 June 2023 SpVgg Greuther Fürth extended Petkov's loan until 30 June 2024. [7]
On 21 August 2024, Petkov signed a three-season contract with SV Elversberg in 2. Bundesliga. [8]
Born in Germany, Petkov is of Bulgarian descent. [9] In January 2022 Aleksandar Dimitrov, the manager of Bulgaria U21, confirmed that Petkov expressed his desire to represent Bulgaria and its subject of gaining citizenship. [10] In January 2023 Bulgarian Football Union confirmed Petkov agreed to play for Bulgaria and they are working on making him available to debut in 2023. [11] He received his first call up for Bulgaria on 21 August 2023 for the matches against Iran and Montenegro. [12] On 7 September 2023, Petkov earned his first cap, playing as a starter in the 0:1 loss against the former in a friendly match. [13]

Spielvereinigung Greuther Fürth, commonly known as Greuther Fürth, is a German football club based in Fürth, Bavaria. They play in the 2. Bundesliga, the second tier of the German football league system, following relegation from the Bundesliga in the 2021–22 season.
Armin Veh is a German football manager and former player who last managed Eintracht Frankfurt. He won the German championship with Bundesliga team VfB Stuttgart in 2007. Veh and his team also had the chance to win "the double" by winning the DFB-Pokal on 26 May 2007 in Berlin, but lost 3–2 in extra time against 1. FC Nürnberg. From 11 December 2017 to 8 December 2019, Veh was the sports director of 1. FC Köln. During his playing career, he played as a midfielder.
