Lucas R. Doty (born October 26, 2001) is an American football wide receiver and quarterback for the South Carolina Gamecocks.
Doty attended Myrtle Beach High School where he was named South Carolina's Mr. Football in 2019. [1] In his senior year, he totaled 1,876 passing yards and 25 passing touchdowns, with an additional 408 rushing yards and 4 rushing touchdowns.
Doty committed to South Carolina after receiving 19 offers, including offers from Auburn and North Carolina.

Doty appeared in 7 games. He completed 43 of 71 passes for 2 touchdowns and 3 interceptions. He also rushed for 91 yards. [2]
Doty originally only appeared in a specific package of plays designed for him, but took over as the starter for the final two games of the 2020 season.
Doty injured his foot in the offseason, so he did not play in the first two games, instead serving as a backup to Zeb Noland. Doty later took over during the game against Georgia. He started the next four games, but then suffered a season-ending injury. Noland, Jason Brown, and Dakereon Joyner would start at quarterback the remainder of the 2021 season.
Doty appeared sparingly in 2022, serving as the primary backup to transfer Spencer Rattler. He appeared in a relief role in three games.
Doty was born to Bobby and Melanie Doty. Both of his parents were athletes at Erskine College. [3]
Doty also has a younger brother, Jake, who is currently a quarterback at Myrtle Beach High School. [4]

Clifford Lewis Stoudt is an American former professional football player who was a quarterback in the National Football League (NFL) for the Pittsburgh Steelers, St. Louis/Phoenix Cardinals, Miami Dolphins and Dallas Cowboys. He also was a member of the Birmingham Stallions of the United States Football League (USFL). Stoudt played college football for the Youngstown State Penguins. He was selected in the fifth round of the 1977 NFL draft by the Steelers.
Darian Bernard Durant is a former professional Canadian football quarterback. He played college football at the University of North Carolina. By the end of his college career, he held school records for completion percentage, touchdowns, passing yards, total offense and completions. Durant was signed as a free agent by the Saskatchewan Roughriders in 2006, and became the club's full-time starting quarterback in 2009. He was named a CFL West Division All-Star in 2009 and 2013. Durant was the starting quarterback when the Saskatchewan Roughriders won the 101st Grey Cup in 2013 on their home field. Durant also played for the Montreal Alouettes in 2017. His brother Justin played in the National Football League as a linebacker.

Stephen Glenn Garcia is a former collegiate American football quarterback for the University of South Carolina. Garcia had a 20–14 record as a starter for the Gamecocks. He completed 7,597 passing yards including 47 touchdowns and 41 interceptions. He also rushed for 777 yards and 15 touchdowns. Garcia was suspended five times during his college career and ultimately dismissed from the football program midway through his final season of eligibility. He currently works as an independent quarterback coach in Tampa.

Stetson Fleming Bennett IV is an American professional football quarterback for the Los Angeles Rams of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Jones College Bobcats and Georgia Bulldogs. Nicknamed "the Mailman", he started his career as a walk-on at Georgia before transferring to Jones College.
