Lumineux Noir is the third studio album of the Greek synthpop duo Marsheaux. It was released on 19 July 2009 by Undo Records. [1] According to the Side-Line magazine, it did not "bring an evolution in sound, but shows a growing maturity in song writing and production". [2] It is reminiscent of 1980s synthpop with tracks that have been compared to Ladytron, [2] Chemical Brothers [3] and Client. [3]

Professional reviews compared the style to 1980s synthpop and contemporary acts. The Side-Line magazine wrote that Lumineux Noir showed "a growing maturity in song writing and production" and that the track "Sorrow" was reminiscent of And One. [2] According to the Sonic Seducer , the album was approaching the style of Client and Ladytron while offering more different moods than Marsheaux's previous releases. [3]

Lacrimosa is a Swiss rock duo led by German Tilo Wolff, the main composer, and Finn Anne Nurmi. They are currently based in Switzerland, but originally from Germany. Originally counted among the bands of the Neue Deutsche Todeskunst genre, Lacrimosa are most associated with the gothic metal and symphonic metal genres.
Ladytron is an English electronic band formed in Liverpool in 1999. The group consists of Helen Marnie, Mira Aroyo, and Daniel Hunt. Reuben Wu (synthesizers) was a member from 1999 until 2023. They have released seven studio albums: 604 (2001), Light & Magic (2002), Witching Hour (2005), Velocifero (2008), Gravity the Seducer (2011), Ladytron (2019) and Time's Arrow (2023). They also issued the live album Live at London Astoria 16.07.08 in 2009 and the compilation album Best of 00–10 in 2011. They have produced remixes for artists such as Dave Gahan, Erasure, Goldfrapp, Apoptygma Berzerk, Placebo, Blondie, Gang of Four, Christina Aguilera, Nine Inch Nails, Bloc Party, Kings of Convenience, Soulwax and Róisín Murphy.
A Broken Frame is the second studio album by English electronic music band Depeche Mode, released on 27 September 1982 by Mute Records. The album was written entirely by Martin Gore and was recorded as a trio after the departure of Vince Clarke, who had left and formed Yazoo with singer Alison Moyet. Alan Wilder was part of a second band tour in the United Kingdom prior to the release of A Broken Frame, but had not officially joined yet and does not appear on the album.

Sehnsucht is the tenth album by the German gothic rock duo Lacrimosa, released on 8 May 2009. Singer and producer Tilo Wolff wanted to create an album that was less conceptual and more spontaneous than the previous releases by Lacrimosa. Therefore, Sehnsucht features a great variability of musical expressions like a sarcastic track "Feuer" and the tender song "Call Me With The Voice Of Love". The planned release of a vinyl format album was cancelled shortly before the final release of Sehnsucht.

We Rule the Night is the fourth studio album by Swedish metalcore band Sonic Syndicate. The album was released on August 27, 2010 through Nuclear Blast and was produced by Toby Wright. We Rule the Night is the first full-length release by the band to feature the vocals of Nathan James Biggs who replaced former singer Roland Johansson who left the band in 2009. However, it is also the last album to feature founding members Richard and Roger Sjunnesson, who both left the band in October 2010 and May 2012 respectively. The band toured Europe to support the album with the "We Rule the World Tour", starting on September 15, 2010 with Christoffer Andersson standing in for Richard.
