Luther Martin Henson (born March 25, 1959) is a former American football player who played defensive lineman for three seasons with the New England Patriots in the National Football League (NFL).
Henson graduated from Sandusky High School 1977 and went on to play defensive tackle for the Ohio State Buckeyes under coaches Woody Hayes and Earle Bruce. Luther was selected as All Big 10 at the defensive tackle position for the years 1979 and 1980. [1]
In 1982 Henson was signed as a free agent by New England Patriots under coach Ron Meyers. Henson played between 1982 and 1984. [2] [3] [4]
Michael George Vrabel is an American professional football coach and former linebacker. He currently serves as a coaching and personnel consultant for the Cleveland Browns.
John David Tatum was an American professional football safety who played 10 seasons, from 1971 through 1980 with the Oakland Raiders and the Houston Oilers in the National Football League (NFL). He was popularly known as "the Assassin" because of his playing style. Tatum was voted to three consecutive Pro Bowls (1973–1975) and played on one Super Bowl-winning team in nine seasons with the Raiders. He's also known for a hit he made against New England Patriots wide receiver Darryl Stingley in a 1978 preseason game that paralyzed Stingley from the neck down. He won a national championship at Ohio State.
William Raymond Smith III was an American football defensive end who played in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Ohio State Buckeyes and was selected by the New Orleans Saints in the first round of the 2004 NFL draft, where he played for the entirety of his career. Smith was shot and killed during an altercation after an alcohol-related traffic crash.
Antoine Duane Winfield Sr. is an American former football cornerback who played for 14 seasons in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Ohio State Buckeyes, earning consensus All-American honors and winning the Jim Thorpe Award. He was selected by the Buffalo Bills in the first round of the 1999 NFL draft and played five seasons for the Bills and nine seasons for the Minnesota Vikings. He was a three-time Pro Bowl selection as a member of the Vikings.
