Lydie Denier is a French-American model and actress. She has appeared in numerous TV series and films.

Career

When she was 14 she became a model, appearing in magazines including Vogue and ELLE . She began traveling the world when she was 16 years old, spending time in Africa, the Caribbean, and Germany, where she got her first record deal with Polygram, singing ballads.[ citation needed ]

After winning a minor beauty contest in Italy and attending the Miss Italia 1984, she decided to become an actress.[ citation needed ]

She visited Los Angeles on vacation and decided to stay and pursue an acting career.[ citation needed ] She began appearing in videos and commercials while she refined her English skills and studied acting. In 1988 she had her first feature film appearance in the U.S. in Bulletproof , with Gary Busey. She appeared in several TV series, most notably General Hospital , The Flash and Starman , among others. In 1991 she guest starred in Baywatch.

In 1991, she was cast as Jane Porter for the Tarzán series. She came to the attention of Zalman King, who cast her for a role in Wild Orchid II: Two Shades of Blue as well as an appearance in the Red Shoe Diaries series. In 1996, after appearances in Silk Stalkings , Tarzan: The Epic Adventures , Conan the Adventurer , and The New Adventures of Robin Hood , she was cast as a spy in the series Acapulco H.E.A.T.

In 2000, she released her own calendar.[ citation needed ] She continues to appear in films and television shows such as Spin City , Gilmore Girls , and Hammerhead .

Personal Life

She lives in Laguna Beach, California, where she is a naturalized U.S. citizen.[ citation needed ]

She is the host of the cooking show Breaking Bread with Lydie Denier. [1]

Acapulco H.E.A.T. is a 1993 syndicated television series. It follows the adventures of the "Hemisphere Emergency Action Team" (H.E.A.T.), a group of top-secret agents based in Acapulco in Mexico, recruited by "C-5", a secret, inter-governmental coalition to fight terrorism and other international crimes. To keep a low profile, the team poses as models and photographers representing a beach-fashion business. The show returned for a second season with a new and smaller cast; it aired in Europe in 1997, and in the United States during 1998–99.

"The Vale of Lost Women" is a fantasy short story by American author Robert E. Howard. It is one of his original short stories about Conan the Cimmerian that was not published during his lifetime. The Magazine of Horror first published the story in its Spring, 1967 issue. It was republished in the collection Conan of Cimmeria. It has also been republished in the collections The Conan Chronicles Volume 1: The People of the Black Circle and Conan of Cimmeria: Volume One (1932-1933). Set in the fictional Hyborian Age, "The Vale of Lost Women" details Conan's rescue of a female Ophirean captive from the Bakalah tribe, on the (apparent) condition that he will receive sexual favors in return for his generosity.

Jane Porter is a fictional character in Edgar Rice Burroughs's series of Tarzan novels and in adaptations of the saga to other media, particularly film. Jane, an American from Baltimore, Maryland, is the daughter of professor Archimedes Q. Porter. She becomes the love interest, later the wife of Tarzan and subsequently the mother of their son, Korak. She develops over the course of the series from a conventional damsel in distress, who must be rescued from various perils, to an educated, competent and capable adventuress in her own right, fully capable of defending herself and surviving on her own in the jungles of Africa.

Conan the Adventurer is an animated television series adaptation of Conan the Barbarian, the literary character created by Robert E. Howard in the 1930s. Produced by Jetlag Productions in association with Sunbow Productions, the series debuted on September 13, 1992, ran for 65 episodes and concluded on November 22, 1993. The series was developed by Christy Marx who served as the sole story editor. The series was produced in association with Graz Entertainment for the first 13-episode season; AB Productions and Jean Chalopin's Créativité et Développement for the remaining episodes. The series also spawned a small toyline in 1992 created by Hasbro. This first incarnation of Conan in cartoon form performed much better than its follow-up cartoon, Conan and the Young Warriors, which lasted only 13 episodes.

Len Janson is an American writer and director whose career in animated cartoons and live-action motion pictures spanned several decades beginning in the 1960s. He began work as an in-betweener at the Walt Disney cartoon studio. By 1965 he had become a story man with his first screen credit in Rudy Larriva's Boulder Wham!. Soon after, he teamed with Chuck Menville to produce a series of live-action films which used the pixilation technique. An example is Stop Look and Listen. By the early 1970s, Janson and Menville had become major names in the animation industry and welcome storytellers at studios such as Filmation and Hanna-Barbera. Their partnership ended with Menville's death in 1992. Janson remained active for a few more years, mainly as story editor for Sonic the Hedgehog. He also wrote episodes of Baywatch Nights.
