Lydia O'Connell (born in County Galway, around 1987) is a health-care worker and Irish camogie player at half-forward for Athenry, winner of Club championship medals in 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009. [1] She worked her way through Under 14 and Under 16 to adult club medals.[ citation needed ] She has Connacht club experience and the runners-up medals to go with it. [2] She was vice-captain when her club won a league title in 2008.[ citation needed ] Lydia was in the Ashbourne Cup during her days at UCD. But then she missed out on medals due to the dominence of UL at that time. She is a qualified podiatrist and available to do podiatry based out of the Bon Secours Hospital, Galway.
