Lynda Ruth Whiteley (married name Wright) (born 7 April 1963) is a female former athlete who competed for England.
Whiteley was a two times National champion after winning the 1983 and 1984 AAA National Championships in the discus. [1]
She represented England and won a bronze medal in the discus, at the 1982 Commonwealth Games in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. [2] [3]

Mereoni Vibose was a Fijian female track and field athlete who competed in the discus throw and javelin throw. She won nine South Pacific Games medals from 1969 to 1991 and set the Fijian record for javelin and discus at the National Athletics Championships. The 1982 UK Athletics Championships was the national championship in outdoor track and field for the United Kingdom held at Cwmbran Stadium, Cwmbran.
