Lynn Lashbrook (born October 11, 1948) is an American sports agent and educator. [1] He is currently an NFL certified contract advisor who has represented over 150 NFL football players throughout his career. [2] A former college athletic director and sports agent, Lashbrook is founder and president of Sports Management Worldwide, a sports agency and an international, online sports career training school with over 20,000 graduates from more than 162 countries. [3]
Lashbrook was athletic director at both Southern Illinois-Edwardsville and University of Alaska Fairbanks, and assistant athletic director at the University of Missouri [3] [4] and University of Alaska-Fairbanks (from 1988 to 1993). [5] [6] He was president of the National Association of Academic Advisors for Athletics in 1986. [6]
Lashbrook worked as an assistant professor at Eastern Oregon University and an adjunct professor at Oregon State University, Western Oregon University, Pacific University, Concordia University in Portland and Concordia University Chicago. [7] [8] [9] [10] [11] [12] As an adjunct professor at the United States Sports Academy he was named Professor of the Year in the Distant Learning Program in 2000. [13]
In 1993, Lashbrook joined Jim Steiner and Sports Management Group, [14] leaving in 1998 to start sports-management.com [8] which became Sports Management Worldwide. [15]
Lashbrook was chosen for Fort Hays State University's Alumni Achievement Award in 2009. The award is the highest recognition of its graduates, honoring graduates who have made outstanding and unselfish contributions in service to their community, state, nation, in chosen career fields, or through philanthropic work. In 1997, Lashbrook joined an effort to bring Major League Baseball to Portland, Oregon. This group eventually became known as the Oregon Stadium Campaign, a private entity that led Portland's drive for an MLB franchise during the league's relocation of the Montreal Expos. In 2003, he led the lobbying efforts that resulted in a $150 million construction bill for a new baseball stadium in Portland. [17] Under his leadership, the group secured legislative action to subsidize a new stadium with ballplayers' payroll taxes. Due to this campaign, a 25,000-seat stadium in the heart of the city was revitalized rather than torn down and is now home to the Major League Soccer team, Portland Timbers. [18]

Lewis & Clark College is a private liberal arts college in Portland, Oregon. Originally chartered in 1867 as the Albany Collegiate Institute in Albany, Oregon, the college was relocated to Portland in 1938 and in 1942 adopted the name Lewis & Clark College after the Lewis and Clark Expedition. Concordia University was a private Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod (LCMS) university in Portland, Oregon, that closed in spring 2020. One remaining program, the accelerated bachelor's degree in nursing, continues to operate under another Concordia University System school.
Robert Boisseau Pamplin was an American businessman and later philanthropist. A native of Virginia, he rose through the ranks of Georgia-Pacific where he later served as president and chairman of the board. He helped relocate the company to Portland, Oregon, where he retired and resided until his death.
Hillsboro Stadium is a multi-sport stadium in the northwest United States, located in Hillsboro, Oregon, a suburb west of Portland. Opened 25 years ago in 1999 and owned by the city of Hillsboro, the award-winning stadium is part of the Gordon Faber Recreation Complex located in the northeast part of the city, adjacent to the Sunset Highway.
Jesuit High School is a private, Catholic, college-preparatory school run by the USA West Province of the Society of Jesus in Beaverton outside Portland, Oregon, United States, in the Archdiocese of Portland. It was founded by the Jesuits in 1956 and uses a Jesuit, college-preparatory curriculum. It is coeducational and enrolls approximately 1,300 students of all faiths.
North Marion High School is a public high school in Aurora, Oregon, United States. The school is part of the North Marion School District with all four schools being located on the same campus. Mel Krause was an American college baseball coach and player at the University of Oregon. He also played professional baseball in the Northwest League. Krause also played college basketball for Oregon and coached two different high school basketball teams to Oregon state basketball championships. Prior to its planned reinstatement in 2009, Krause was the last Ducks baseball coach when the university canceled the sport in 1981.

Mark Warkentien was a basketball coach and executive whose most recent job was as a special assignment evaluator for the Oklahoma City Thunder. He recently served as the New York Knicks' director of player personnel. He was also the former vice president of basketball operations for the Denver Nuggets, where he won the NBA Executive of the Year Award for the 2008–09 NBA season.

It is an accredited online Sports Management school and is certified by the Oregon Department of Education. SMWW offers online sports career training courses, and both graduate and undergraduate programs. Sports Management Worldwide is a member of the North American Society for Sport Management.
Rocky Michael Gale is an American former professional baseball catcher. He attended the University of Portland where he was named the West Coast Conference defensive player of the year before being drafted by the San Diego Padres in the 2010 MLB draft. He made his Major League Baseball (MLB) debut in 2015 for the Padres and also played in MLB for the Los Angeles Dodgers. He is currently a catching coordinator in the Dodgers farm system.
Major League Baseball (MLB) franchises have been proposed in Portland, Oregon on two occasions. The Oregon Stadium Campaign and the City of Portland were involved in creating a presentation for a committee in charge of relocating the Montreal Expos in 2003. The proposal included possible sites for new baseball parks. In the midst of the campaign for the Expos, the Oregon State Legislature passed a bill that secured US$150 million in funds for a new stadium, that can still be used. The proposal was passed up and Washington, D.C. was selected as the new home of the Expos. In 2007, the Florida Marlins considered re-locating to Portland. On both occasions, PGE Park, the minor league baseball park at the time, would have been used until a new stadium could be completed. Currently, the Portland metropolitan area is the largest metro area in the United States that houses another major league sports franchise without having an MLB franchise.
The Salem Senators are the longest lasting name used by several minor league baseball teams based in Salem in the U.S. state of Oregon. The team name derived from Salem being the capital of Oregon. The team was founded in 1940. The current incarnation competes in the Mavericks Independent Baseball League.
The Concordia Cavaliers were the athletic teams that represented Concordia University, located in Portland, Oregon, in intercollegiate sports as a member of the Division II level of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), primarily competing in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference (GNAC) from 2015–16 to 2019–20. The Cavaliers previously competed in the Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) from 1993–94 to 2014–15. The official school colors were navy and white.
The Pamplin Sports Center is a 2,300-seat basketball and volleyball arena in Portland, Oregon which serves as the home of the Lewis & Clark Pioneers. Before the Pamplin Sports Center, the college had a 1,600-seat arena that featured a plywood court, which was built in 1947 and burned down in 1966. For the next three seasons, the school's team had no home court and was forced to practice and play at several high school gymnasiums around the Portland metropolitan area. The Pamplin Sports Center was completed in 1969. In 2007, it was renovated and two practice courts were added that could be hidden under the bleachers during games. The stadium features two Daktronics-brand scoreboards on each base line. At the time of its construction, the Pamplin Sports Center cost US$2.2 million. It was constructed by Juhr and Sons from Portland. The arena was named after Robert B. Pamplin, whose son sat on the board of trustees for the college at the time.
Hilken Community Stadium is an American football, baseball, soccer and softball stadium located in Portland, Oregon. It served as the home of the Concordia Cavaliers football, baseball, soccer and softball teams. Concordia closed in the spring of 2020. Northeast United Soccer and Central Catholic High School baseball team also play at Hilken Community Stadium.,since 2012. At the time of construction, the 1,000 seat stadium cost US$7.5 million. The field's turf is known as Nike Grind, which is made out of approximately six million recycled shoes. The university named the stadium after Robert and Virginia Hilken who donated US$1.5 million towards the construction. One million dollars was donated by the community. While the stadium is owned by Concordia University, 50 percent of the activities of the field are designated for community activities like Special Olympics.
Nicklaus Michael Madrigal is an American professional baseball second baseman for the Chicago Cubs of Major League Baseball (MLB). He previously played for the Chicago White Sox. He made his MLB debut in 2020.
