The School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA) is the international affairs and public policy school of Columbia University, a private Ivy League university located in Morningside Heights, Manhattan, New York City. Laurie Leshin is an American scientist and academic administrator serving as the 10th Director of the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory and as Vice President and Bren Professor of Geochemistry and Planetary Science at California Institute of Technology. Leshin's research has focused on geochemistry and space science. Leshin previously served as the 16th president of Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
Michael Harris is an Israeli-American public policy scholar and university administrator. He is currently the Interim Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs of Tennessee State University and a Professor of Public Administration and Policy.
University of Minnesota College of Design is located on both the Saint Paul and Minneapolis campuses of the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. The College of Design includes the full range of design disciplines and is home to eight undergraduate majors in the fields of architecture, apparel design, graphic design, interior design, landscape architecture, product design, and retail merchandising. There are 23 graduate degree programs, eight undergraduate minors, nine research centers, and the Goldstein Museum of Design.
Flossie M. Byrd was a home economist, family and consumer services scientist, educator, and the first provost and vice president for academic affairs at the public historically black university (HBCU), Prairie View A&M University (PVAMU) in Prairie View, Texas. She taught in Florida public high schools and at Florida A&M University in Tallahassee, Florida before moving to PVAMU. She earned a PhD in Home Economics Education with minors in child development and educational psychology and measurement from Cornell University in 1963. Her research interests included concept formation, family membership disability, and family resource management.
Michael I. Kotlikoff is an American biomedical researcher, academic leader, and veterinarian who has served as the provost of Cornell University. His work on cardiovascular biology, optogenetics, mouse genetics, and ion channel function has been continuously funded by the National Institutes of Health since 1986. He has served on numerous NIH panels, including chair of the Scientific Board of Councillors of the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) and the NIH Council of Councils, as well as national and international Higher Education committees, including Chair of the Jacobs Technion-Cornell Institute Board and the Advisory Committee for the CityUniversity of Hong Kong Jockey Club College of Veterinary Medicine.
Nancy H. Hensel is an American academic and university administrator. She held faculty positions at the University of Toledo and University of Redlands before joining the University of Maine system in 1992. In 1992[6] Hensel was appointed Dean of the College of Education at the University of Maine at Farmington.[11] From 1995 to 1999 she filled the post of Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs.[11] In 1999 she was named to a one-year term as interim president of the University of Maine at Presque Isle, becoming the second woman to head the campus in its history.[1] In 2000 she acceded to the presidency.[5] In 2004 she was appointed CEO of the Council on Undergraduate Research in Washington, D.C., for seven years, and then became the first president of The New American Colleges and Universities in 2011. She has authored numerous books, articles, and monographs. Her research interests include early childhood education, gender equality, and work–family conflict and undergraduate research. She was inducted into the Maine Women's Hall of Fame in 2003.
Shixin Jack Hu is the senior vice president for academic affairs and provost at the University of Georgia. He is also the UGA Foundation Distinguished Professor in the school of environmental, civil, agricultural, and mechanical engineering in the UGA College of Engineering.
Weiping Wu is a China urban specialist and Professor at Columbia University's Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation, where she directs the Urban Planning program. In January 2022, she was appointed interim dean and served until August. She became the Vice Provost for Academic Programs at Columbia in September 2023.
Camille Althea McKayle is an Afro-Jamaican-American mathematician and is the current Provost of the University of the Virgin Islands (UVI). She holds a PhD in mathematics from Lehigh University and taught undergraduates at Lafayette College and UVI from 1993 to 2008.
