M. Jeevan is an Indian director, cinematographer and still photographer, who has worked in the Tamil, and Telugu film industries. [1]
Jeevan began his career as a still photographer and worked on big-budget films including Mani Ratnam's Bombay (1994) and Iruvar (1997), Shankar's Jeans (1998) and Rajiv Menon's Kandukondain Kandukondain (2000). He also recruited his brother Sukumar to work on his assignments. [2] He subsequently continued working as a photographer in films including Minnale (2001), Samurai (2002) and King (2002) and struck up a good relationship with the director Prabhu Solomon. While launching Kokki (2006), the director Prabhu Solomon had asked Sukumar to make his first foray into cinematography but his reluctance meant that Jeevan, was handed the opportunity. Towards the end of the shoot, Jeevan became busy with other projects and Sukumar was brought in to work on a few portions in the film, including a song shoot in Chalakudi. The pair have since also exchanged work in Mynaa (2010) and Nimirndhu Nil (2014). [2]
Jeevan has also directed films and first began making Mayilu (2012) for Prakash Raj's production house in 2008. Delays meant that Pa. Vijay's Gnabagangal (2009) became his first release, while Mayilu released three years later. Another film titled Sevanu featuring newcomer Aman and Oviya was shelved midway through production. He has since gone on to make Amara (2014) and Mosakutty (2014), both starring debutant lead actors. [3] [4]

Andrew Lesnie ACS ASC was an Australian cinematographer. He was best known as the cinematographer for The Lord of the Rings trilogy (2001–2003) and its prequel The Hobbit trilogy (2012–2014), both directed by New Zealand director Peter Jackson. He received the Academy Award for Best Cinematography for his work on The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring in 2002.
Minsara Kanavu is a 1997 Indian Tamil-language musical romantic drama film that was co-written and directed by Rajiv Menon. The film stars Arvind Swamy, Prabhu Deva, and Kajol in her Tamil debut, and revolves around Priya (Kajol), a convent student who wants to become a nun. Having returned to India from his studies overseas, Thomas (Swamy)—Priya's childhood friend—falls in love with her following their first meeting at her convent. Kandukondain Kandukondain is a 2000 Indian Tamil-language romantic musical film directed and co-written by Rajiv Menon. Based on Jane Austen's 1811 novel Sense and Sensibility, it features an ensemble cast of Mammootty, Ajith Kumar, Tabu, Aishwarya Rai and Abbas. Veterans Manivannan, Srividya and Raghuvaran play supporting roles. The film's soundtrack was scored by A. R. Rahman and the cinematographer was Ravi K. Chandran.
Rajiv Menon is an Indian filmmaker who has worked as a director and cinematographer in several Indian regional film industries. After making his breakthrough as a film cinematographer with Mani Ratnam's drama Bombay (1994), Menon has continued to collaborate with Ratnam on other projects including Guru (2007) and Kadal (2013). He has also directed 2 critically acclaimed Tamil films, Minsara Kanavu (1997) and Kandukondain Kandukondain (2000), winning a Filmfare Award for the latter. After a sabbatical, Menon returned to directing with Sarvam Thaala Mayam.
Prabhu Deva is an Indian dance choreographer, film director, producer and actor who has worked predominantly in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu and Kannada language films. In a career spanning 32 years, he has performed and designed dancing styles and has garnered two National Film Awards for Best Choreography. In 2019, he was awarded the Padma Shri for his contributions to dance.

S. Ravi Varman is an Indian cinematographer, filmmaker, producer and writer. He has predominantly worked in films in Indian languages such as Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi. Known for his realistic and poetic framing sense, Ravi Varman began his career in Malayalam films. He directed a romantic film in Tamil titled Moscowin Kavery and also filmed the music video for the song "Bird Flu" by British Tamil songwriter M.I.A.
Polladhavan is a 2007 Indian Tamil-language action thriller film written and directed by Vetrimaran in his directorial debut. Starring Dhanush and Divya Spandana, the film revolves around a man whose life improves after buying a bike, and turns upside down after it is stolen. Three songs and the background score were composed by G. V. Prakash Kumar, while Yogi B and Dhina composed each one song. Velraj was the director of cinematography, V. T. Vijayan edited the film and Rambo Rajkumar choreographed the stunts. The film was released on 8 November 2007. Receiving a tremendously positive response, it popularized the Bajaj Pulsar among the youth. The film was remade in a number of languages, owing to its success.

The film stars Karan, Pooja Gandhi, and Kota Srinivasa Rao. The music was composed by Dhina with editing by Suresh Urs and cinematography by M. Jeevan. The film released on 12 May 2006 and had a successful run at the box office.

Nimirndhu Nil is a 2014 Indian Tamil-language action drama film written and directed by Samuthirakani featuring Jayam Ravi in dual role and Amala Paul. It was produced by KS Sreenivasan's Vaasan Visual Ventures. The film's soundtrack and background score were composed by G. V. Prakash Kumar. Jayam Ravi played a revolutionist for a social cause. The film, which was simultaneously made in Telugu as Janda Pai Kapiraju with Nani in place of Jayam Ravi, released on 8 March 2014 and received mostly positive reviews.
Kayal (transl. Fish) is a 2014 Indian Tamil-language adventure romance film directed by Prabhu Solomon and produced by Madhan of Escape Artists Motion Pictures. The film stars newcomers Chandran, Anandhi and Vincent, while D. Imman composed the film's music. The film, set against the backdrop of the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake and tsunami, released on 25 December 2014. The film was dubbed and released in Telugu as Tholi Premalo in 2016.

Thodari (transl. Train) is a 2016 Indian Tamil-language action-romance film co produced, written and directed by Prabhu Solomon. It stars Dhanush and Keerthy Suresh, with D. Imman composing the film's music. Set on an express train, Thodari follows a pantry worker who tries to save the passengers and his girlfriend from hijackers and a politician's bodyguard amid a runaway train incident.
