MANICA is a Kansas City, Kansas-based architecture firm. The firm owned by namesake David Manica was formed in 2007, who previously worked at sports architecture firm HOK Sport, where he was the lead designer on The O2 Arena, the new Wembley Stadium and the Beijing National Stadium. [1] MANICA has been involved in designing numerous sports and entertainment facilities, such as the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada for the Las Vegas Raiders, [2] the DRV PNK Stadium in Fort Lauderdale, Florida for Inter Miami CF, [3] [4] the Chase Center in San Francisco for the Golden State Warriors, [5] the renovation of Camp Nou in Barcelona for FC Barcelona, [6] the Lusail Iconic Stadium in Doha, Qatar for the 2022 FIFA World Cup, in Partnership with Foster + Partners, [7] the VTB Arena in Moscow, Russia, [8] and the Hospital for Special Surgery Training Center in Industry City, Brooklyn, a training facility for the Brooklyn Nets. [9] MANICA was also the architectural firm contracted to design Carson Stadium in Los Angeles for the then Oakland Raiders and San Diego Chargers (the design was later transferred with changes to the Raiders' Las Vegas stadium project) and the proposed Chargers stadium in San Diego after the Carson project failed. [10] [11] In addition, MANICA Architecture was selected to help plan the new NFL stadium for the Chicago Bears at Arlington Park [12] , to renovate Progressive Field for the Cleveland Guardians, [3] and construction to a new stadium in Nashville for the Tennessee Titans.

Over the 20-year absence of the National Football League from Los Angeles many proposals were made for stadiums that would attract an NFL team to the Los Angeles Area. The trend began in 1995 when a stadium planned to be built in Hollywood Park was rejected by Los Angeles Raiders owner Al Davis in favor of relocating back to Oakland, California due to a stipulation that he would have had to share the stadium with a future second team.

The 2022 FIFA World Cup Final will be the final match of the 2022 World Cup, the 22nd edition of FIFA's competition for men's national football teams. The match is scheduled to be played at the Lusail Iconic Stadium in Lusail, Qatar, on 18 December 2022, the national day of Qatar, and will be contested by the winners of the semi-finals.
