Career

Solo and Die For You (2008–2013)

In 2008 after posting original tracks to Myspace, Wilkinson was scouted by Trevor Steel and Chris Johns of Sunday Morning Records to play lead guitar for the newly formed electro-pop band Die For You. In 2009, Die For You embarked on the nationwide Stack Is The New Black Tour supporting Australian pop-punk act Short Stack. [1]

MLHLND (2014–present)

In 2013, Wilkinson began work on a new project in New York City with Autre Ne Veut producer Joel Ford. Returning to Australia as MLHLND, Wilkinson quickly signed a record deal with Personal Best Records and began releasing music. [2] [3] In October 2014, MLHLND released "Pretty", [2] [4] a soft single, to introduce himself as an artist and tease the upcoming release of his debut single.

MLHLND's debut single "Clothes Off" was released on 28 November 2014 to high critical acclaim. [5] Mike Wass of Idolator called the track "a steamy bedroom romp", comparing MLHLND to an 80's Prince as he "really occupies an entirely new space with his dreamy synths, R&B-influenced vocal style and bold pop sensibility". [6] Nic Kelly of EMI called the track "stunning", dubbing MLHLND "Australian pop's newest forward thinker". [2] The single also gained commercial success, gathering over 200,000 plays on Spotify. [7]

After his debut performance in 2015 at annual outdoor lighting festival Vivid Sydney, [8] MLHLND continued releasing new music. To online and radio success, MLHLND released his debut EP Twenty First Century Love, Vol. I on 1 April 2016 exploring themes of love, lust and heartbreak. [9] The single "Pure" was released off of Twenty First Century Love, Vol. I to online success, with a risque video of couples seen passionately kissing. [10] "Closer", gained over 100,000 streams on Spotify. [11]

Twenty First Century Love, Vol. II was released on 26 August 2016 with the single "Non Stop". Triple J's Dave Ruby Howard reviewed the lead single, stating "to borrow from Tracy Morgan, somebody's gonna get pregnant somewhere while this is on." [12] MLHLND followed up the success of "Non Stop" with the single "Twenty First Century Love" being released on 5 May 2017. [13] "Twenty First Century Love" has been featured in Season 12, Episode 15 of Germany's Next Top Model. [14]

Fashion photography (2016–present)

In 2015, MLHLND began work extending his creative portfolio as a fashion photographer, having been featured in print publications Sticks & Stones Agency, [15] Flake Mag, [16] Baltisoul [17] and Last Daze. [18]

Brooke Dyan Candy is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, director, model, and fashion stylist. Raised in the suburbs of Los Angeles, daughter of Tom Candy, former CFO for Hustler magazine, Brooke rose to prominence after starring in Grimes' music video for "Genesis" (2012), which went viral. Following its success, Candy's status in the underground scene rose as she began to release her own material: "Das Me" (2012), "Everybody Does" (2013), and "I Wanna Fuck Right Now" (2013). In 2014, she signed with RCA and released her debut major label single, "Opulence", with an accompanying EP of the same name on May 6, 2014. Later, she joined Columbia's UK roster. Betty Who

Jessica Anne Newham, known by her stage name Betty Who, is an Australian-American singer and songwriter. After independently releasing her debut single, "Somebody Loves You" (2012), and her debut extended play, The Movement (2013), she signed with RCA Records and later released her debut studio album, Take Me When You Go (2014). Her second studio album, The Valley (2017), saw the commercial success of her cover of "I Love You Always Forever", which peaked inside the top ten in Australia and reached the top of the Billboard Dance Club Songs chart in the United States.

<i>The Love Club EP</i> 2012 EP by Lorde

The Love Club EP is the debut extended play (EP) by New Zealand singer-songwriter Lorde. At the age of 12, she was discovered by Universal Music Group scout Scott MacLachlan, and began writing songs. In December 2011, MacLachlan paired Lorde with producer Joel Little, and within three weeks, the pair had co-written and produced all 5 songs on the EP. In November 2012, Lorde self-released the EP for free download via SoundCloud. On 8 March 2013 the record was commercially released by Universal Music Group and Virgin Records.

Banks (singer) American singer/songwriter and poet

Jillian Rose Banks, known mononymously as Banks, is an American singer, songwriter and poet. She is signed to Harvest Records and Good Years Recordings. Following the release of two extended plays, Fall Over and London, in 2013, Banks released her debut album, Goddess, on September 5, 2014, to positive reviews from contemporary music critics. It reached number 12 on the US Billboard 200, while its most successful single, "Beggin for Thread", was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Her second studio album, The Altar, was released on September 30, 2016, to a similar positive reception, becoming her second top 20 album in the United States. Her third album, III, was released on July 12, 2019. It became her most critically acclaimed release to date and peaked at number 21 on the Billboard 200, as well as number 3 on the Top Albums Sales chart.

English singer Charli XCX has released four studio albums, four mixtapes, three extended plays, one live album, one DJ mix, 46 singles, and 13 promotional singles. In 2007, XCX began recording her debut album on a loan granted by her parents. Titled 14, after her age at the time, it received only a restricted public release. Two singles, "!Franchesckaar!" and double A-side "Emelline"/"Art Bitch", were released in late 2008 under Orgy Music. In June 2012, Charli XCX released her first original mixtape, titled Heartbreaks and Earthquakes, a one-track file consisting of eight songs. A second mixtape, titled Super Ultra, was released in November of the same year. Charli XCX's major-label debut studio album, True Romance, was released in April 2013, and peaked at number 85 on the UK Albums Chart. While failing to appear on any main album charts internationally, the album reached number five on the Heatseekers Albums chart in the United States and number 11 on the ARIA Hitseekers chart in Australia. Fifth Harmony discography

American girl group Fifth Harmony has released three studio albums, six extended plays, eleven singles, and seventeen music videos. After finishing third on the second season of The X Factor US the group was signed to Epic Records though Syco Music. Less than a year later, Fifth Harmony released their debut single from their debut extended play, "Miss Movin' On". The single charted on the Mainstream Top 40 and New Zealand, peaking at 27 in both countries. It was certified Gold in the United States for selling combined sales and track-equivalent streams units of 500,000. The group's extended play, Better Together peaked at number six on the Billboard 200 and number 18 in New Zealand, charting in both countries similar to the group's lead single. As part of the promotion for Better Together, four other versions were released of the extended play, including an acoustic release, a Spanish-language acoustic and a standard Spanish-language translated version as well as a remix edition. The four former EPs were released in a 4-CD bundle titled Better Together: The Deluxe Edition, directly from Fifth Harmony's official store; it also included a download code for the latter remix EP, as it was not available physically. In Walmart exclusively, the Juntos and Juntos Acoustic EPs were bundled together, while at Target, "One Wish" was included as a bonus track on the original version; meanwhile, the iTunes edition of the original EP included "Me & My Girls", which the group performed in 2013 as guests on the third season of The X Factor, and served as a promotional single for the EP.

"In My Blood" is a song by Australian pop duo The Veronicas for their upcoming fourth studio album, Godzilla (2021). It was co-written by The Veronicas twins, Lisa Origliasso and Jessica Origliasso, along with Anthony Egizii and David Musumeci and produced by the latter two under the collective name DNA. The track was released on 10 June 2016 as the album's first single.

Jaira Burns is an American singer-songwriter. She began her music career by uploading covers on YouTube. Burns made her debut in 2017 with the single "Ugly", which was featured in a commercial for Beats Electronics and Balmain headphone collaboration starring Kylie Jenner. She then released "Burn Slow" a few months later, which serves as the title track of her debut extended play, which was released in July 2018.
