The fourth Annual MTV Romania Music Awards (Romanian : Premiile muzicale MTV România 2005) were held in Sala Palatului on April 28, 2005. [1] [2] [3] [4]

Romanian language Romance language

Romanian is an Eastern Romance language spoken by approximately 24–26 million people as a native language, primarily in Romania and Moldova, and by another 4 million people as a second language. It is an official and national language of Romania and Moldova. In addition, it is also one of the official languages of the European Union.

Sala Palatului heritage site in Bucharest, Romania

Sala Palatului in Bucharest, Romania is a conference centre and concert hall immediately behind the National Museum of Art of Romania, the former royal palace in the heart of the city. It was built between 1959 and 1960, during the communist era. It has been the site of conferences such as the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe, the World Congress on Population, the World Congress on Energy, and the World Congress of the Red Cross. The main hall can accommodate 4,060 spectators.

Larry Claxton Flynt Jr. is an American publisher and the president of Larry Flynt Publications (LFP). LFP mainly produces magazines, such as Hustler, and sexually graphic videos. Flynt has fought several high profile legal battles involving the First Amendment, and has unsuccessfully run for public office. He is paralyzed from the waist down due to injuries sustained in a 1978 murder attempt by serial killer Joseph Paul Franklin. In 2003, Arena magazine listed him at No. 1 on the "50 Powerful People in Porn" list.

Tataee Romanian rapper

Vlad Irimia, primarily known by his stage name Tataee, is a Romanian record producer, rapper, record executive, and music manager. He is one of the founders of the well-known Romanian hip hop trio B.U.G. Mafia, also having produced albums and overseeing the careers of many acclaimed Romanian rappers, such as La Familia, XXL & 10 Grei, Mahsat and JerryCo. As a music producer, he is frequently credited as one of the pioneers and key figures in the architecture of the Romanian version of gangsta rap, a style of music that closely resembles its American counterpart but also includes various local influences derived from balkan music or, more recently, electronica.

Alexandra Irina Măruță, better known by her stage name Andra, is a Romanian singer and judge at Românii au talent. In 2007, she received Gold and Platinum certification for the album De la frate la soră. She collaborated with Dan Bittman, Direcția 5, What's Up, Vunk, Marcel Pavel, Marius Moga, Smiley and the band Simplu. AndraAlex presented the TV shows Singuri cu vedeta on Antena 1 and O-la-la on Pro TV.In 2013 she was nominated at the MTV Europe Music Award for Best Romanian Act at the 2013 MTV Europe Music Awards. In 2014 she won the MTV Europe Music Award for Best Romanian Act at the 2014 MTV Europe Music Awards. her song, "Why", reached number 8 on Billboard. Her other songs "Lie to Me" and "Sweet Dreams" also enjoyed critical successes. Măruță is of partial Albainan descent.

Delia Matache Romanian singer, famous celebrity

Delia Matache, known by the stage name of Delia, is a Romanian singer-songwriter, TV celebrity, dancer, philanthropist, former model, fashion designer, a judge of comedy TV show iUmor, and coach of TV music competition X Factor. She has started her stage music activity in 1999 in N&D music band with Nicolae Marin and had released 4 albums. Their genre was a fine mix of house and eurodance. After the split off in 2003 she has released another four solo albums as a solo act. The genre of her music is dance and all of its derivatives. There are some influences of R&B on a few songs from her latest album.

Hi-Q (band)

Hi-Q was a Romanian pop group, founded in 1996 in Braşov. The original group consisted of Mihai Sturzu, Florin Grozea, and Dana Nălbaru. Described by Libertatea as one of the best-known musical groups in Romania, Hi-Q also hosts its own TV show on national television. Dana Nălbaru left the group in 2003 to pursue a solo career and returned in October 2010. On 31 July 2014, on a news magazine show presented by Teo Trandafir, the band split.

Zdob și Zdub band

Zdob și Zdub is a Moldovan gypsy punk band, based in Chișinău. The name is onomatopoeic for the sound of a drum beat. In English the name is sometimes rendered Zdob shi Zdub, and this is how their work is catalogued at iTunes and elsewhere. Paraziții is a Romanian three-man rap and hip hop group founded in 1994. It consists of Cheloo, Ombladon, and FreakaDaDisk. The group is largely known for their dark beats and political humorous lyricism.

The MTV Romania Music Awards 2006 were presented on June 3 at Sala Sporturilor Horia Demian in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. This was the fifth time the MTV Romania Music Awards have been presented.

Wassabi is a Romanian musical girl group established in 2006 under the management of Marius Moga, who also wrote many of their songs. The band was made up of Laura Petrescu, Veronica Tecaru, Ramona Sora, and Luiza Luca.

Krypton is a Romanian heavy metal turned pop rock band that was formed in 1982 by founder Eugen Mihaiescu. During the heavy metal years of the band, the group was able to record and release three albums. Their first recordings, all in the Romanian language, were made in 1982 and released on a various artist album entitled Formaţii Rock 7, but it wasn't until 1988 that Krypton was able to release a solo album of their own. In 1988, 30 Minute was recorded and released.

MTV Romania Music Awards award

The MTV Romania Music Awards have been held since 2003 celebrating Romanian music. Recipients of the awards have been Eurovision contestants and some have gone on to represent Romania in the competition. The awards were usually held in June. Since 2008 the show was cancelled. Starting then, it was replaced by the Romanian Music Awards, organized by Music Channel Romania.

Dansez pentru tine returned for its thirteenth season on October 26, 2012. Ștefan Bănică, Jr. and Iulia Vântur returned as hosts. The judges are Mihai Petre, Wilmark Rizzo, Emilia Popescu, Beatrice Rancea and Cornel Patrichi was replaced with Edi Stancu.

Bosquito

Bosquito is a Romanian rock band formed in Brașov in the year 1999. The group's current line-up consists of vocalist/guitarist Radu Almășan, drummer Dorin Țapu, guitarist Ciprian Pascal, and bassist Austin Jesse Mitchell. The band is well known for infusing their songs with diverse influences, including Gypsy music, Latin, balkan, punk, and elements of symphonic music. The group has released 5 albums to date with several top-charting singles including "Pepita", "Marcela", "Bosquito", "Hopa Hopa", and the ballad "Două Mâini", which reached #1 in the Romanian Top 100 and remains one of the most celebrated love songs in Romanian music. In 2005, the band entered a hiatus on the Romanian market while relocating to the United States; the original line-up disbanded shortly thereafter. In 2011 Radu Almășan made a comeback as Bosquito with a brand-new lineup launching their first single in 6 years: "Când Îngerii Pleacă", and releasing a new album, Babylon in 2014.

X Factor is a Romanian television music competition that aims to find a new music talent to become a star. The third season began airing on 23 September 2013 on Antena 1. The winner will receive a prize of €120,000.

Kamelia (Romanian singer) Romanian singer

Camelia Adina Hora, better known by stage name Kamelia, is a Romanian pop-dance singer and songwriter. Born in Stei and raised in Timisoara, she started to sing when she was 14 years old and had a band called D.G.TAL, with her brother, the composer and producer George Hora, with whom she owns a music studio.

Falsez pentru tine is an upcoming television mystery music game show that will air on ProTV. It is the Romanian version of I Can See Your Voice.
