Morandi is a Romanian eurodance music group composed of Marius Moga and Andrei Ropcea (Randi).
The duo was formed in September 2004 by Marius Moga and Randi and released their debut single "Love Me" in November of that year. [1] [2] Their debut album, Reverse was released on 17 July 2005 and received a gold certification from the UPFR in December. [3] [4] As of December 2021, the album has sold two million copies worldwide. [5] "Beijo (Uh La La)", which served as the second single from the album, topped the Romanian Top 100 for nine weeks. [6]
The duo expanded and became a group, adding a percussionist and two disc jockeys. [7] Mindfields , the group's second album, was released in March 2006. [8] Two singles were promoted off the album, "Falling Asleep" and "A la lujeba", both reaching number one in Romania. [9] [10] In July 2007, the group released the lead single off their third album, titled "Afrika", which peaked at number two in Romania. [11] [12] "Angels (Love Is the Answer)" was a commercial success, reaching number one in five countries and being certified seven times platinum in Russia. [13] Their third album, N3XT , was released on 14 December 2007, [14] and received a platinum certification in Romania and was certified four times platinum in Russia. "Save Me" featuring Helene served as the last single off the album, attaining similar success to the previous single.
In June 2009, the duo announced "Colors" as the lead single off their upcoming fourth album, titled Zebra, which was due for release later that year. "Rock the World" was released as the second single from the album in April 2010, with the duo acknowledging the album's delay. [15] Two more singles were released to promote the album in 2011, specifically "Midnight Train" and "Serenada". In an interview with Urban.ro, Randi stated that Morandi will take a hiatus, and that the album was due for release in December 2011. [16]
The duo returned to the music scene in 2013 with "Everytime We Touch". They proceeded to release two more singles before taking another hiatus at the end of 2014. In November 2016, Morandi came back by releasing "Keep You Safe". The duo released two more singles, "Kalinka" (2018) and "Professional Liar" (2019) and in 2021, they parted ways. In October 2024, Randi confirmed that him and Moga had reunited to make music as Morandi. [17]

Loredana Groza or mononymously Loredana is a Romanian singer. She is known for continuously reinventing herself and for approaching numerous music styles throughout her discography, ranging from pop to traditional music and manele. In 1987, Groza released her debut single "Bună seara, iubito", which—even though it was banned and censored in Romania for alleged inappropriate lyrics—became successful and one of her signature songs. Her album of the same name would go on to sell 1.5 million copies, making it the best-selling record of all time in Romania. Over the years, Groza released several acclaimed albums and hit songs, including "Apa" in 2012, which reached number two on the native Airplay 100 chart. The singer was a coach on the Romanian version of the televised competition The Voice for its first seven seasons.
Beijo (Uh-La-La) is a song by Romanian music group Morandi from the album Reverse released on April 28, 2005, during the MTV Romania Music Awards ceremony. The song's lyrics are sung in Portuguese. The song was a popular summer hit in Romania in 2005, and in July of that year, reached number 1 on the MTV Europe and World Chart Express charts, overtaking singles by Coldplay, U2 and Shakira.
Akcent is a Romanian dance pop group whose members sing in Romanian, English and Spanish. Their name originated as a wordplay on accent. Originally a duo, it consisted of Adrian Sînă and Ramona Barta. They released their debut album Senzatzia in 2000. Except for the first track, "Ultima vara", which received some airplay, the album was a commercial failure and the duo disbanded shortly after. Sînă brought Marius Nedelcu, Mihai Gruia and Sorin Brotnei into the group, changing it from a duo to a boyband in 2001. They came to prominence with the single "Ți-am promis" in their native Romania.

"Tornerò" is a song by Romanian singer Mihai Trăistariu from his eighth studio album of the same name (2006). Released by CMC Entertainment on 3 July 2006, it was written by Cristian Hriscu, Mihaela Deac and its producer Eduard Cîrcotă. With English verses and a refrain in Italian, "Tornerò" is a disco, pop, dance and rave song featuring Trăistariu using his higher vocal range. The track won the Selecția Națională pre-selection show and represented Romania in the Eurovision Song Contest 2006, held in Athens, Greece. Elena Alexandra Apostoleanu, known professionally as Inna, is a Romanian singer. Born in Mangalia and raised in Neptun, she studied political science at Ovidius University before meeting the Romanian trio Play & Win and pursuing a music career. She adopted the stage name "Alessandra" and a pop-rock style in 2008; later that year, she changed her stage name to "Inna" and began releasing house and popcorn music. Her debut studio album of the same name followed in August 2009 and was certified Gold and Platinum. It featured several other successful singles in Europe, including "Amazing" (2009), the singer's second number-one single in Romania.
Hot is the debut studio album by Romanian singer Inna, released on 4 August 2009 by Magic Records. Inna collaborated on the record with Romanian trio Play & Win, who entirely wrote, produced and arranged Hot at their Play & Win Studios in Constanța, Romania. It was described as an electronic dance music (EDM) album, with influences varying from trance, electro house and techno to Hi-NRG, synth-pop and chillout. Lyrically, Hot deals with love themes. Music critics gave the album positive to mixed reviews, praising the danceable style but criticizing its lack of innovation. At the 2010 Romanian Music Awards, Hot won in the Best Album category, while also receiving an award at the 2011 Radio România Actualităţi Awards in the Pop/Dance Album of the Year section.
"Colors" is a song by Romanian group Morandi intended to be the lead single off the group's fourth studio album, Zebra. However, it was later included in their compilation album, Best Of (2011). The supposed Zebra's mix of club and British rock served as inspiration for the track. "Get Back (ASAP)" is a song recorded by Romanian singer Alexandra Stan, released on 28 March 2011 by Play On / Jeff Records as the third single from her debut studio album, Saxobeats (2011). The track was written and produced by Marcel Prodan and Andrei Nemirschi, and was recorded at their Maan Studio in Constanța. Musically, "Get Back (ASAP)" is a dance song with jazz accents, containing a saxophone in its instrumentation. Music critics were positive towards the recording, praising its catchiness, while also comparing it to its predecessor, "Mr. Saxobeat" (2010). "Get Back (ASAP)" also received an award in the Pop/Dance Song of the Year category at the 2012 Radio România Actualități Awards.
"Lemonade" is a song recorded by Romanian singer and songwriter Alexandra Stan for her Japan-only reissue, Cliché (2013). It was released for radio airplay in Italy on 12 June 2012, followed by its digital release on 14 June 2012 through MediaPro Music in Romania and on 1 August 2012 in Japan. Written and produced by Marcel Prodan and Andrei Nemirschi, the single incorporates EDM, reggae-pop and dubstep into its composition; it makes use of harmonica and accordions. Upon its release, "Lemonade" was met with positive reviews from music critics, with them naming it "catchy", "fresh" and a highlight, while one of them foresaw it as having a strong radio performance. Alexandra Irina Măruță, better known by her stage name Andra, is a Romanian singer, songwriter and television personality. Andra began her career at the age of seven, where she had her first performance in TVR's musical competition Tip Top Minitop, singing "I Will Always Love You" by Whitney Houston. In 2001, at 14 years old, Andra released her first single, "În noapte mă trezesc".
