Morandi was a Romanian eurodance music group composed of Randi and Marius Moga.

The MTV Romania Music Awards 2006 were presented on June 3 at Sala Sporturilor Horia Demian in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. This was the fifth time the MTV Romania Music Awards have been presented.

Elena Alexandra Apostoleanu, known professionally as Inna, is a Romanian singer. Born in Mangalia and raised in Neptun, she studied political science at Ovidius University before meeting the Romanian trio Play & Win and pursuing a music career. She adopted the stage name "Alessandra" and a pop-rock style in 2008; later that year, she changed her stage name to "Inna" and began releasing house and popcorn music. "Hot" (2008), her debut single, was a commercial success worldwide and topped the Romanian and Billboard's Hot Dance Airplay chart, among others. Her debut studio album of the same name followed in August 2009 and was certified Gold and Platinum. It featured several other successful singles in Europe, including "Amazing" (2009), the singer's second number-one single in Romania.

The MTV Europe Music Awards 2009 took place in Berlin, Germany at the O2 World and Brandenburg Gate on 5 November 2009. The awards ceremony was presented by Katy Perry for a 2nd consecutive year. It was the fourth time that the MTV Europe Music Awards were hosted in Germany and the second time that they were hosted in Berlin, since the inaugural edition of the MTV Europe Music Awards also took place there. Thus Berlin became the first city to host the event twice.

"Colors" is a song by Romanian group Morandi intended to be the lead single off the group's fourth studio album, Zebra. However, it was later included in their compilation album, Best Of (2011). The supposed Zebra's mix of club and British rock served as inspiration for the track. Written by the group, the song was first released on 16 June 2009 in Romania and on 6 August 2009 for digital download and streaming in the United States through Universal Music Romania.

Radio Killer was a Romanian dance/pop and eurodance music group. Their debut single was released in 2009 and is called "Voila". It was the most broadcast song in Romania and Russia of that year. The name "Radio Killer" comes from the fact that "radio killer" means "hit" in US slang; Radio Killer plans for all its songs to be hits.

Andreea Bănică (Romanian pronunciation:[anˈdree̯abəˈnikə] is a Romanian singer and songwriter. She was part of the girl groups Exotic and Blondy. In 2005, Bănică started a solo career and became one of Romania's most successful pop artists, with 2 number ones and 15 Top20 singles, as well as hit songs like "Love in Brasil", "Samba", "Hooky Song", "Sexy", "Shining Heart" and "Rain in July".

Ion Chirinciuc, better known by stage name Vanotek, is a Moldovan-Romanian record producer and disc jockey. He started producing music for native artists before releasing his debut single "My Heart is Gone" in 2015. The song became successful in Romania, and also brought him a nomination for Best Romanian Act at the 2016 MTV Europe Music Awards. In November 2017, Global Records distributed his debut studio album No Sleep. Two of its singles, "Tell Me Who" and "Back to Me", reached the charts in Romania and Russia, among other countries.

The MTV Europe Music Award for Best Latin has been awarded since 2020. During the 2010s, the award show implemented the first Latin categories since the ceremony of 2013, including regional categories and the Best Latin American Act being the predecessor of Best Latin.
