The Romanian Music Awards, or simply RMA, were a Romanian annual event held from 2002 until 2014, awarding the best artists in Romania's music scene. It was organized by Music Channel Romania and has taken place in various locations in the country.

The Liga I, also spelled as Liga 1, is a Romanian professional league for men's association football clubs. Currently sponsored by betting company Superbet, it is officially known as the SuperLiga. It is the country's top football competition, being contested by 16 clubs which take part in a promotion and relegation system with the Liga II. The teams play 30 matches each in the regular season, before entering the championship play-offs or the relegation play-outs according to their position in the regular table.

Tudor Gheorghe is a Romanian musician, actor, and poet known primarily for his politically charged musical career and his collaborations with well-known figures of late 20th-century Romanian poetry. His recording work is sometimes associated with anti communist activism and has received much critical acclaim during the years. The son of an Iron Guard member, he was banned from performing and recording in 1987 after a concert at Sala Palatului in Bucharest, following a number of run-ins with Romania's communist authorities throughout the 1970s and 1980s.

Digi Communications, also known as RCS & RDS, is a Romanian telecommunication holding company operating in Romania, Hungary, Spain and Italy. Digi was founded by Zoltán Teszári, who is the majority owner, and it is listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange since 16 May 2017.

Brașov-Ghimbav International Airport is an airport development project located in Ghimbav, near Brașov, Romania, right by the future A3 motorway. It is the first airport to be built in post-communist Romania, and the 17th commercial airport in the country. Flights are expected to commence in June 2023.

The 2008–09 Liga I was the ninety-first season of Liga I, the top-level football league of Romania. Season began on 26 July 2008 and ended on 10 June 2009. CFR Cluj were the defending champions.

Radu Mircea Berceanu is a Romanian engineer and politician. A member of the Democratic Liberal Party (PD-L), he was a member of the Romanian Chamber of Deputies for Dolj County from 1990 to 2004, and sat in the Romanian Senate from 2004 to 2012, representing the same county. In the Radu Vasile and Mugur Isărescu cabinets, he was Minister of Industry and Commerce from 1998 to 2000; in the first Călin Popescu-Tăriceanu cabinet, he was Minister of Transport, Construction and Tourism from 2006 to 2007; and in the Emil Boc cabinet, he was Minister of Transport and Infrastructure from December 2008 to September 2010. From October to December 2009, he was also acting Minister of Agriculture following the political crisis that led to the withdrawal of the Social Democratic Party from government.

Adi Cristian Colceru also known as David Deejay, is a Romanian former DJ, producer and composer from Bucharest, Romania. He studied violin in primary school. After moving to Bucharest, he worked with several local producers, and in 2007 started with the hit single "Sexy Thing". He subsequently released several singles after the success of Sexy Thing such as Temptation and Fantasy. He is best known for his long time collaborations with singer Dony from the band Refflex.

A3 motorway (Romania) Partially built motorway in Romania

The A3 motorway is a partially built motorway in Romania, planned to connect Bucharest with the Transylvania region and the north-western part of the country. It will be 596 km long and will run along the route: Ploiești, Brașov, Făgăraș, Sighișoara, Târgu Mureș, Cluj-Napoca, Zalău and Oradea, connecting with Hungary's M4 motorway near Borș.

The 2011–12 Liga I was the ninety-fourth season of Liga I, the top-level football league of Romania. It began on 22 July 2011 and ended on 19 May 2012. The defending champions are Oțelul Galați.

Bamboo Club Romanian-based chain of nightclubs

Bamboo Club, nicknamed Bamboo, is a Romanian-based chain of nightclubs with headquarters in Bucharest, Romania, owned and operated by Giosue "Joshua" Castellano. The first club was opened in the capital of Romania in 2002. Bamboo Group Entertainment also includes clubs in Brașov, Mamaia and Miami Beach. Red Club and Le Gaga clubs in Bucharest together with Bamboo Ballroom, Bamboo Fitness, Bamboo Luxury and Bamboo Pool are also part of the franchise. On January 21, 2017, the Bucharest Bamboo Club was completely destroyed by a fire. There were no victims, but many attendants were injured.

DEx12 expressway Expressway in Romania

The DEx12 expressway, also known as the Pitești–Craiova Expressway, is a partially built expressway in the south-western part of Romania, previously labelled as A12, when it was considered as a future motorway. It will connect the cities of Pitești, Slatina and Craiova, being 121 km long, with an estimated total cost of 1.66 billion euro.

The 2014–15 Liga I was the ninety-seventh season of Liga I, the top-level football league of Romania. The season began on the 25 July 2014 and ended on 30 May 2015. Steaua București successfully defended their title for a record 26th win.

Indiggo Musical artist

Indiggo and the Indiggo Twins are the stage names for Gabriela Modorcea and Mihaela Modorcea, twin sisters and Romanian-American professional actresses, dancers, singers, and writers. They were born in Romania, received visas for extraordinary artistic abilities, became American citizens and live in New York City. They speak English, French, German and Romanian and sing in seven languages.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">2017–2019 Romanian protests</span> Romanian protests against political corruption

There were numerous protests against the Romanian Government between 2017 and 2019. In January 2017, days after the government of the Grindeanu Cabinet was sworn into office in Romania, protests took place throughout the country against ordinance bills that were proposed by the Romanian Ministry of Justice regarding the pardoning of certain committed crimes, and the amendment of the Penal Code of Romania. At the heart of these protests is the community Corruption Kills, founded by Florin Bădiță, who alongside other civic groups organized what proved to be the largest protests since 1989, thus realizing the "Revolution of our generation".

The 2018 season was the 16th season of competitive kickboxing in Romania.

2015 was the 4th year in the history of RXF, the largest mixed martial arts promotion based in Romania.
