The Madhya Pradesh Youth Congress or MP Youth Congress is the state body of the Indian Youth Congress, youth wing of Indian National Congress. Mitendra Darshan Singh is the President of Madhya Pradesh Youth Congress. [1]

Mandsaur Farmers' Unrest

In 2017, Madhya Pradesh Youth Congress president submitted a memorandum to the Governor of Madhya Pradesh demanding dismissal of the State Government run by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and CM Shivraj Singh over the deaths of six farmers in Mandsaur Police firing during Farmers' Protest in 2017. [2]

They had also planned a Dharna (Agitation) for the farmers' cause. [3]

PM Modi's Pakoda Rozgaar

The Youth Congress in February 2018, had set up a Pakoda stall [4] in Bhopal to protest against PM Narendra Modi's statement that, even selling pakodas is employment. This has irked many youngsters, who are trying hard to land up a job.[ citation needed ]

Kushwah has also served as the state president of Bhartiya Janata Party's Other Backward Class wing for the state of Madhya Pradesh.

The 2017 Bhopal–Ujjain Passenger train bombing was a terrorist attack that occurred on March 7, on the Bhopal–Ujjain Passenger, a passenger train which runs between Bhopal Junction railway station of Bhopal, the capital city of Madhya Pradesh and Ujjain Junction railway station. The bombing occurred at Jabri railway station in the Shajapur district of Madhya Pradesh, injuring 10 passengers. It was stated to be the first-ever strike in India by the Islamic State. One of the suspected terrorists was later killed in an encounter in Lucknow. The police stated that the module was self-radicalised and did not receive any financial support from the group. Six persons were later arrested. National Investigation Agency (NIA) probe reports stated that the ISIS-inspired module had also conspired to bomb a rally of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
