Maggie Vespa is an American journalist and a correspondent for NBC News. [1] [2] Before being hired by NBC, she had worked at KGW, the NBC affiliate station in Portland, Oregon, from 2014 to 2022, and had previously worked for KGUN, in Tucson, Arizona, and at WEEK/WHOI in Peoria, Illinois. [3]

Personal

Vespa grew up in Peoria, Illinois, and graduated from Dunlap High School. She later graduated from the University of Illinois. [1] In the 1970s, her mother, Kay Vespa, worked as a reporter and anchorperson for a Peoria television station. [1]

Paul Linnman is an American former television news reporter and anchor in Portland, Oregon, and radio personality in the same city. He is perhaps best known for his 1970 KATU report on the attempt by the Oregon Highway Division to dispose of a dead, beached whale by exploding it. He worked for more than 30 years as a television news reporter, host and anchor, from 1967–1972 and 1978–2004. Robert John Jamieson is an American former television news correspondent for ABC News until January 2008. After getting his start in local news in St. Louis and Chicago, he joined NBC's national news bureau in 1971. There he reported on a variety of national and international news, including several conflicts in the Middle East. Jamieson was a frequent substitute news anchor on Today throughout the 1980s, filled in as anchor on NBC Nightly News, and served as the anchor of NBC News at Sunrise from 1986 to January 1987. From March 1987 to September 1988, he hosted Before Hours, a 15-minute early morning business news program that was a joint production of NBC News and The Wall Street Journal. He joined ABC in 1990.
