Maggot is the only studio album by American riot grrrl rock band Dazey and The Scouts. It was self-released on February 14, 2017. The album's writing and instrumentation was performed by Otto Klammer, Lea Jaffe, Brennan Wedl, and Austin Corona, and vocals were performed by Otto Klammer, Lea Jaffe, and Brennan Wedl. The album was produced, mixed, and engineered by Sasha Stroud. [1]
Maggot was the only complete studio album released before the band's breakup in 2018. The album received a resurgence in popularity when the song "Wet" began to trend among LGBTQ+ communities on TikTok in 2020. [2] This sudden internet popularity caused Dazey and The Scouts to press the album on vinyl for the first time in 2021. [3] After this, the band returned for a reunion show on March 1, 2022 where they performed the entire album. [4]
All tracks are written by Lea Jaffe.
