Magomed Magomedmirzaevich Abdulkadirov (Russian : Магомед Магомедмирзаевич Абдулкадиров; born 3 December 1990) is a Russian submission grappler and black belt Brazilian jiu-jitsu athlete. He is a multiple world champion in grappling and a Master of Sports of international class in grappling. [1] [2]
Abdulkadirov was born on 3 December 1990 [3] in Makhachkala, Dagestan, Russia. At the age of 12, he began his journey in martial arts with freestyle wrestling. Abdulkadirov was first coached by Abdulla Magomedov, then he began performing in traditional jiu-jitsu, and Yusup Saadulaev began to train Abdulkadirov. At the age of 17, he began to consciously train and perform Brazilian jiu-jitsu and grappling.
In 2013, Abdulkadirov was awarded a brown belt in BJJ by Antônio Rodrigo Nogueira. In the same year, Magomed won the WPJJ World BJJ Championship, which was held in Abu Dhabi, UAE. In 2017, he won the Grand Slam tournament in Abu Dhabi among brown belts. He also won the Sharjah 2017 tournament in Dubai. A year later, he was awarded a black belt under the tutelage of Brazilian master Rafael Haubert. [4]
In 2015, Abdulkadirov won the ADCC European championship. Between 2014 and 2019, he became the United World Wrestling (UWW) world champion four times. [5] [6] He also won the Russian championships seven times.
Abdulkadirov competed against Tye Ruotolo for the inaugural ONE Championship welterweight submission grappling title at ONE Fight Night 16 on 3 November 2023. [7] [8] He lost the match by decision. [9]

Holding 5 World Jiu-Jitsu Championship and 4 ADCC Submission Fighting World Championship titles, Garcia is a member of the IBJJF Hall of Fame and the third BJJ athlete to be inducted into the ADCC Hall of Fame.
Jean Jacques Machado is a Brazilian Jiu jitsu practitioner. He is one of the five Machado brothers. Machado is nephew of BJJ co-founder and Grandmaster Carlos Gracie, and learned the martial art from an early age.
The ADCC Submission Fighting World Championship is an international submission grappling competition, organised by the Abu Dhabi Combat Club (ADCC). The inaugural tournament was held in Abu Dhabi, UAE in 1998. It has been held every two years since 2001, except in 2021 due to the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic. Host countries have included Brazil, China, Finland, Spain, the UK, and the US.

Michael Musumeci Jr. is an American submission grappler and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt competitor. A four-time World Champion and Pan American Champion in colored belts, Musumeci is a five-time IBJJF black belt World Champion, and the first American to win more than one IBJJF World title at black belt. He competed in ONE Championship where he was the flyweight submission grappling champion.
Ffion Davies is a Welsh submission grappler, mixed martial artist and a world-champion Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) competitor. She is a multiple winner of the IBJJF World Championship, including the no-gi championship in 2023 in both the 61 kg and absolute divisions.

A highly decorated athlete competing since childhood, Galvão was promoted to black belt in 2021, at the age of 17, less than three years after reaching blue belt. In 2022 Galvão won the 2022 IBJJF World Jiu-Jitsu Championship before testing positive for a banned substance, was stripped of said title and received a one-year suspension ban.

An IBJJF World No-Gi Brazilian jiu-jitsu champion as a white belt, Jones is a two-time ADCC Submission Wrestling World Championship silver medalist and a three-time Polaris Pro Grappling champion. Kade Ruotolo is an American submission grappler and black belt Brazilian jiu-jitsu athlete. A competitor with his twin brother Tye since the age of 3, Ruotolo is a IBJJF World champion, Pan Am and European Open champion at every coloured belt level. Promoted to black belt in December 2021, Ruotolo won the 2022 ADCC World Championship in the 77 kg division, becoming at age 19 the youngest-ever ADCC Submission Fighting World champion. Ruotolo is signed to ONE Championship where he is the current lightweight submission grappling champion.

Tye Ruotolo is an American submission grappler and black belt Brazilian jiu-jitsu athlete. A competitor with his twin brother Kade since the age of 3, Ruotolo is currently the youngest IBJJF World champion at black belt level in the history of the sport. At the 2019 ADCC World Championship, Ruotolo as a 16-year-old was the youngest competitor to participate in the competition and also to reach the semi-finals where he eventually came fourth place. Following promotion to black belt in December 2021, Ruotolo became a two division Who's Number One (WNO) champion, world champion at the 2022 World Jiu-Jitsu Championship and a bronze medalist at the 2022 ADCC World Championship.
