Mahad bin Said bin Ali Baawain is the Omani Minister of Labour. He was appointed as minister on 18 August 2020. [1] [2]
Bawaain holds a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the Sultan Qaboos University (1998),a master's degree in environmental engineering from the Imperial College (2000) and a PhD from the University of Alberta (2007). [3] [4]
From 2002 until 2007,Baawain was research assistant at the University of Alberta. [4]
In 2007,he was appointed assistant professor and in 2013 associate professor at Sultan Qaboos University. [4] Additionally,he was managing director at the Centre for Environmental Studies and Research (CEASAR) from 2013 until 2016. [5]
In June 2020,he was appointed dean of the college [2] and Full Professor at the International Maritime College Oman. [4]
On 18 August 2020,Baawain was appointed minister of labour. [1] [2]
Oman,officially the Sultanate of Oman,is a country located in West Asia. It is situated on the southeastern coast of the Arabian Peninsula,and spans the mouth of the Persian Gulf. Qaboos bin Said Al Said was Sultan of Oman from 23 July 1970 until his death in 2020. A fifteenth-generation descendant of the founder of the House of Al Said,he was the longest-serving leader in the Middle East and Arab world at the time of his death,having ruled for almost half a century.
The Sultanate of Muscat and Oman,also known briefly as the State of Muscat and Oman during the rule of Taimur bin Feisal,was a sovereign state that encompassed the present-day Sultanate of Oman and parts of present-day United Arab Emirates and Pakistan,in the second half of the 19th century and 20th century. Ruled by the Busaid dynasty,it was established as a result of the partition of the Omani Empire upon the death of its last ruler Said bin Sultan. Sultan Qaboos University is a public university located in al-Seeb,Oman. Established in 1986,it is one of the two public universities in the country and is named after Qaboos bin Said al-Said,the Sultan of Oman from 1970 until 2020.

The Royal Office is one of the most senior and therefore powerful ministries in the Sultanate of Oman. It is a government body that has most influence in national security and intelligence issues and the minister in charge has been the de facto national security advisor to the Sultan. The Palace Office also acts as a foreign liaison focus on all international intelligence and security matters.
Hilal bin Ali bin Hilal Al-Sabti was born on October 27,1972. On June 16,2022,His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tariq has issued a Royal Decree appointing Dr. Hilal bin Ali bin Hilal Al Sabti,as the new Minister of Health. He succeeded His Excellency Dr. Ahmed Al Saidi on this new role.
Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said is the Crown Prince of Oman as the oldest son of Sultan Haitham bin Tariq. Since 2020,Theyazin has served as the minister of culture,youth and sports.
