Maharana Pratap Engineering College is an Indian private engineering college in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. It was established in the year 1999 by the Maharana Pratap Group of Institutions. The Group also operates its University in Jaipur (Pratap University). The College operates from 50 acres campus[ vague ] in Kothi, Mandhana, Kanpur and another campus (MIPS) in Baikunthpur, Bithoor, Kanpur. The group operates (MITS) Maharana Institute of Technology & Sciences in Gaura, MohanlalGanj, Raebareliey Road, Lucknow. Kannauj district is an administrative district of Uttar Pradesh state in northern India, along the river Ganges. The historic town of Kannauj, northwest of Kanpur, is the administrative center. The district was carved out of the Farrukhabad district on 18 September 1997. The native dialect of this district is Kannauji.
