The National Democratic Alliance is a right-wing Indian political alliance led by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). It was founded on 15 May 1998 and currently controls the government of India as well as the government of 19 Indian states and one Union territory.
Janata Dal (United) ("People’s Party (United)"),abbreviated as JD(U),is an Indian political party with political presence mainly in eastern and north-eastern India. Jagadish Shivappa Shettar is an Indian politician,who served as the 15th Chief Minister of Karnataka from 2012 to 2013. He is currently serving as Member of Karnataka Legislative Council. He has subsequently served as Leader of the Opposition in the Karnataka Legislative Assembly. He also served as the Speaker of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly during 2008–2009. He is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party. Earlier in 2023 he had joined the Indian National Congress,where he quit the BJP on being denied the MLA ticket in 2023. He represented Hubli-Dharwad Central Vidhan Sabha seat,which he resigned in 2023 before the elections. In March 2024,he was announced as the BJP candidate from the Belgaum Constituency for the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections.
The Punjab Legislative Assembly or the Punjab Vidhan Sabha is the unicameral legislature of the state of Punjab in India. The Sixteenth Punjab Legislative Assembly was constituted in March 2022. At present,it consists of 117 members,directly elected from 117 single-seat constituencies. The tenure of the Legislative Assembly is five years unless dissolved sooner. The Speaker of the sixteenth assembly is Kultar Singh Sandhwan. The meeting place of the Legislative Assembly since 6 March 1961 is the Vidhan Bhavan in Chandigarh.

Members of the Legislative assembly are directly elected by the people. The legislative assembly comprises 294 Members of Legislative Assembly,all directly elected from single-seat constituencies. Nongthombam Biren Singh is an Indian politician,former footballer and journalist who is currently serving as the 12th Chief Minister of Manipur since 2017,in addition to representing the Heingang Assembly constituency in the Manipur Legislative Assembly since 2002. Keshav Prasad Maurya is an Indian politician,currently serving as the Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh. He is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party. Maurya was associated with a right-wing Hindu organization Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh,before entering active politics through BJP. He was also involved in cow protectionism in his early life. Election for the Sixteenth Legislative Assembly was held in the Indian state of Punjab. Polling was done on 20 February 2022 to elect the 117 members of the Punjab Legislative Assembly. The counting of votes declaration of results was done on 10 March 2022. The Fifteenth Punjab assembly was dissolved on 11 March 2022. The dissolution was necessitated after the results of the election was declared on 10 March. In the Sixteenth Punjab Legislative Assembly,92 members of the ruling Aam Aadmi Party form the treasury benches. The main opposition party in the assembly is Indian National Congress with 18 seats. The other parties which are in opposition are the Shiromani Akali Dal,the Bharatiya Janata Party,the Bahujan Samaj Party and independents. AAP MLA,Kultar Singh Sandhwan was announced as the speaker of the assembly.
Sheetal Angural is an Indian politician representing the Jalandhar West Assembly constituency in the Punjab Legislative Assembly and now he is a former MLA. He was a member of the Aam Aadmi Party. He joined Bharatiya Janta Party in 27 March 2024,before the 2024 Indian General Election.
Gujarat Legislative Assembly or Gujarat Vidhan Sabha is the unicameral legislature of the Indian state of Gujarat,in the state capital Gandhinagar. Presently,182 members of the Legislative Assembly are directly elected from single-member constituencies (seats). It has a term of 5 years unless it is dissolved sooner. 13 constituencies are reserved for scheduled castes and 27 constituencies for scheduled tribes. From its majority party group or by way of a grand coalition cabinet of its prominent members,the state's Executive namely the Government of Gujarat is formed.
