Career

Mahesh pursued cinematography at the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII). [1] Early in his career, he assisted cinematographer P.C. Sreeram on the film Vaanam Vasappadum , which was the first motion picture shot digitally. [1] [2]

P. C. Sreeram is an Indian cinematographer and film director who works in Indian films. He is also the president of Qube Cinemas, a digital cinema technology company. He is an alumnus of the Madras Film Institute. Apart from his work as a cinematographer, Sreeram was much appreciated for his directorial venture Kuruthipunal. The film was internationally acclaimed and was submitted by India as its official entry to the Oscars in 1996. Sreeram is known for his association with Bharathan, Mani Ratnam, R Balki, Vikram Kumar, and received critical acclaim for his work in films such as Thevar Magan, Mouna Ragam, Nayakan, Cheeni Kum, Agni Natchathiram, Paa, Geethanjali, Alaipayuthey, I, Pad Man, O Kadhal Kanmani, Thiruda Thiruda, Ishq, and Remo. Adavi Ramudu is a 2004 Indian Telugu-language romantic action film which was directed by B. Gopal. Prabhas and Aarti Agarwal played the lead roles. The film features a love story between a tribal youth and his childhood sweetheart. This was Prabhas' next movie immediately after the success of Varsham. Upon release, it received mostly negative reception from the critics and audience alike and was a flop at the box-office. The film was later dubbed into Hindi as The Strong Man Badal in 2009. This was V. S. R. Swamy's final film as a cinematographer before his death in 2008.

The film revolves around the clash between humans and demons (Vedhalams) in a Kingdom ruled by demons, where the protagonist fights for justice, of the ruthless slaughtering of humans by demons, but his ancestry turns out to be a mystery.

Kaathiruppor Pattiyal also known as Kathiruppor Pattiyal is a 2018 Indian Tamil language romantic comedy drama film written and directed by Balaiya D. Rajasekhar on his directorial debut and produced by Baija Tom under the production company Lady Dream Cinemas and distributed by Lotus Five Star while co-produced by K.V Jayaram. The film stars Sachin Mani in the male lead role and Nandita Swetha in the female lead role while Aruldoss, Manobala, Sendrayan, Mayilsamy, Arunraja Kamaraj, and Appukutty play pivotal and supportive roles in the film. Sean Roldan scored background music for the film. The movie was released on 4 May 2018 and received average reviews from critics upon the release.

The loosu ponnu is a stock character in Tamil cinema, a girl who is portrayed as attractive but naïve and unintelligent. It is regarded as the equivalent of the Manic Pixie Dream Girl and dumb blonde stereotypes in the United States. The loosu ponnu trope became increasingly popular in 1990s Tamil cinema when the masculinity of the hero became severely overblown. It has since received criticism for being misogynistic and regressive.
