Mahesh Shankar is an Indian music director who primarily works in Telugu cinema and is known for his associations with Raj & DK. [1] [2]

Personal life and career

Mahesh Shankar did his bachelor's of engineering degree at Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering where he performes alongside Drums Sivamani, Vikku Vinayaka Ram, Ganesh and Kumaresh and V. Selvaganesh. [3] He received his masters' degree from North Carolina State University and worked in California. He was associated with Anita Udeep for her Tamil music album Mugangal (2002). He worked on two Indian English films: Udeep's Knock Knock, I'm Looking to Marry (2003) and Raj & DK's Flavors (2003). [4] He worked with Ganesh and Kumaresh on the end credits track for Dance Like a Man (2004). [3]

Aadanthe Ado Type is a 2003 Indian Telugu-language romance film directed by E V V Satyanarayana, starring Aryan Rajesh, Sivaji and Anita Hassanandani. It is a remake of the 2002 Tamil film Mounam Pesiyadhe written and directed by Ameer Sultan, with Aryan Rajesh, Anita, Shivaji, and Sindhu replacing Suriya, Trisha, Nandha, and Maha, respectively, who originally played the roles. The film released on 30 August 2003. There is also a dubbed Telugu version of Mounam Pesiyadhe, titled as Kanchu, which released in 2006.

Mahesh Shankar composed the music. The film released on 25 December 2013. It received mixed feedback from critics but the majority audience enjoyed this new kind of cinema.

Gaddalakonda Ganesh is a 2019 Indian Telugu-language action comedy film directed by Harish Shankar and produced by Ram Achanta and Gopichand Achanta under the 14 Reels Plus banner. It is a remake of the 2014 Tamil film Jigarthanda which itself was inspired by the 2006 South Korean film A Dirty Carnival. The film stars Varun Tej Konidela, Atharvaa, Pooja Hegde, and Mirnalini Ravi. The film marks the Telugu debut of Atharvaa and Mirnalini Ravi. Principal photography began in February 2019 and wrapped in September 2019. The film has music composed by Mickey J. Meyer, cinematography was handled by Ayananka Bose, and editing by Chota K. Prasad.

Anita Udeep is an Indian screenwriter and director, who has worked on Tamil and English language films.

Villain is a 2003 Indian Telugu-language action masala film written and directed by K. S. Ravikumar. The film stars Rajasekhar in dual roles, alongside Neha Dhupia and Tulip Joshi. The film is a remake of the director's own Tamil film of the same name, which released in the previous year. Sujatha and Vijayan reprise their respective roles while Vidyasagar, who composed the soundtrack for the original, was signed to compose the music for this film as well. This film marks the Telugu debuts of Dhupia, Joshi, and Vijayan.

Siva Shankar is a 2004 Indian Telugu-language action drama film starring Mohan Babu and Soundarya. The film is directed by Kapuganti Rajendra, who previously worked under Dasari Narayana Rao and Soundarya's last film in Telugu. Shiva Shankar is inspired by the 2002 Hollywood film Road to Perdition. The film is presented by Mohan Babu's son Manchu Vishnu. This is the last film for Soundarya in Telugu, released after her death.
