The Maratha Chamber of Commerce Industries and Agriculture (MCCIA) is an Indian business advocacy and networking group located in Pune, serving businesses in the state of Maharashtra. [1] It was established in 1934 by Atmaram Raoji Bhat, and is one of the few trade associations that came into existence before the Indian independence movement. [2] In 2011, the chamber proposed plans to renovate the embankments of the Mula-Mutha River. [3] Dr Sudhir Mehta, the chairman and managing director of Indian vehicle interior manufacturer, Pinnacle Industries, was appointed president of MCCIA in September 2020. His term is due to run until 2022. [4] [5]

The Mula is a river in Pune, in Maharashtra state of India. It is dammed near the Western Ghats at the Mulshi Dam that forms the Mulshi Lake. Further downstream, in Pune city, it merges with the Pawana River on the left bank and Mutha River on the right bank to form the Mula-Mutha river, which later meets the Bhima River.

The Institute of Management Development and Research (IMDR) in Pune, India is the oldest management institution in Pune and is a branch of the Deccan Education Society. IMDR used to offer three full time programs: Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM), Post Graduate Diploma in International Trade (PGDIT) and Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resources (PGDHR), alongside its other part-time programs. Vijay L. Kelkar is an Indian economist and academic, who is the chairman of the Forum of Federations, Ottawa & India Development Foundation, New Delhi and chairman of Janwani – a social initiative of the Mahratta Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture (MCCIA) in Pune. He has been appointed as a trustee of Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust on 4 January 2014. He was also the chairman of the Finance Commission until January 2010. He was earlier advisor to the Minister of Finance (2002–2004), and is known for his role in economic reforms in India. Prior to this, he remained Finance Secretary, Government of India 1998–1999, and in 1999 he has been nominated as Executive director of India, Bangladesh, Bhutan and Sri Lanka on the board of the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
The Mula-Mutha is a river in India, formed by the confluence of the Mula and Mutha rivers in the city of Pune, Maharashtra state, which later flows into the Bhima River, which itself is a tributary of the Krishna River and finally empties into the Bay of Bengal.

Pune Metro is a mass rapid transit system serving the city of Pune, India. The system comprises three lines with a combined length of 54.14 km (33.64 mi), of which 24.12 km (14.99 mi) on two lines are operational as of August 2024. The extended metro line from Ruby Hall Clinic to Ramwadi, including the Bund Garden, Kalyani Nagar and Ramwadi metro stations, covering a distance of 6 km, was inaugurated on 6 March 2024. The 16.59 km (10.31 mi) Purple Line from PCMC Bhavan to Swargate runs on an elevated viaduct between PCMC Bhavan to Range Hills, from where it goes underground. The Aqua Line runs from Vanaz to Ramwadi covering a distance of 14.66 km (9.11 mi) on an elevated viaduct. The 23.33 km (14.50 mi) elevated Line 3 Puneri Metro will run from the Rajiv Gandhi Infotech Park in Hinjawadi via Balewadi to Civil Court. All three lines will align at the Civil Court interchange station.

Atmaram Raoji Bhat (1905-1983) was an Indian social worker, journalist and writer. He was the founder of Mahratta Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture which was established in 1934 and one of the founders of the Pune Divisional Productivity Council. A winner of the Laghu Udyog Ratna from the National alliance of Young Entrepreneur, he was honoured by the Government of India in 1971 with Padma Shri, the fourth highest Indian civilian award.
Gujarat Lions was a franchise cricket team based in the city of Rajkot, that represented the Indian state of Gujarat in the Indian Premier League (IPL). The team played in the IPL, along with Rising Pune Supergiant for two season between 2016 and 2017 as one of the replacements for Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals who were both suspended for two seasons due to illegal betting by their respective owners.
