The Maratha Chamber of Commerce Industries and Agriculture (MCCIA) is an Indian business advocacy and networking group located in Pune, serving businesses in the state of Maharashtra. [1] It was established in 1934 by Atmaram Raoji Bhat, and is one of the few trade associations that came into existence before the Indian independence movement. [2] In 2011, the chamber proposed plans to renovate the embankments of the Mula-Mutha River. [3] Dr Sudhir Mehta, the chairman and managing director of Indian vehicle interior manufacturer, Pinnacle Industries, was appointed president of MCCIA in September 2020. His term is due to run until 2022. [4] [5]

Vijay L. Kelkar is an Indian economist and academic, who is currently the Chairman of the Forum of Federations, Ottawa & India Development Foundation, New Delhi and Chairman of Janwani – a social initiative of the Mahratta Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture (MCCIA) in Pune. He has been appointed as a trustee of Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust on 4 January 2014. He was also the Chairman of the Finance Commission until January 2010. He was earlier Advisor to the Minister of Finance (2002–2004), and is known for his role in economic reforms in India. Prior to this, he remained Finance Secretary, Government of India 1998–1999, and in 1999 he has been nominated as Executive director of India, Bangladesh, Bhutan and Sri Lanka on the board of the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

The Mula-Mutha is a river in India, formed by the confluence of the Mula and Mutha rivers in the city of Pune, which later meets the Bhima River, which itself later meets the Krishna River and finally emptying to the Bay of Bengal.

Pune Metro is a mass rapid transit system serving the city of Pune, India. The system comprises 3 lines with a combined length of 54.58 km (33.91 mi), of which 12 km (7.5 mi) on two lines are operational as of March 2022. The 16.59 km (10.31 mi) Purple line from PCMC Bhavan to Swargate runs on an elevated viaduct between PCMC Bhavan to Range Hills, from where it goes underground. The Aqua line runs from Vanaz to Ramwadi covering a distance of 14.66 km (9.11 mi) on an elevated viaduct. The 23.33 km (14.50 mi) elevated Line 3 will run from the Rajiv Gandhi Infotech Park in Hinjawadi via Balewadi to Civil Court. All three lines will align at the Civil Court interchange station.

He began his career as a fashion model and participated in the Graviera Mr. India contest in 1998, and subsequently worked in several advertisements and music videos. Atmaram Raoji Bhat (1905-1983) was an Indian social worker journalist and writer. He was the founder of Mahratta Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture which was established in 1934 and one of the founders of the Pune Divisional Productivity Council. A winner of the Laghu Udyog Ratna from the National alliance of Young Entrepreneur, he was honoured by the Government of India in 1971 with Padma Shri, the fourth highest Indian civilian award.

Startup India is an initiative of the Government of India. The campaign was first announced by Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi during his speech on 15 August 2015.

Pratap Govindrao Pawar is an Indian industrialist, and chairman and managing director at Sakal Papers Pvt. Ltd. The Government of India awarded him Padma Shri award in 2014 for his contribution to trade and industry in India.

Pinnacle Industries LTD also known as PIL is an Indian motor vehicle and interior manufacturing company based in Pune, Maharashtra. The company was incorporated in June 27, 1996 in the industrial city of Pithampur, located in the of Madhya Pradesh, India. The company designs and develops seating and interior products for commercial vehicles in India. Dr. Sudhir Mehta is the founder of Pinnacle Industries.
