Majishan is an island part of Shengsi County, Zhoushan, Zhejiang, China. Geographically it is one of the Shengsi Islands. The island has an area of 1.491 km2, including 0.467 km2 of land reclaimed during the construction project of Baosteel's ore transit base starting in 1997. [1] It was originally an isolated island, after Zhoushan City implemented a relocation project of the island, most of the population on the island was moved to Maguan village on Shengsi Island just north. Most of the land is now used by the Baosteel ore transfer base, which opened in 2004. [1] A bridge has been built to connect the island with Shengsi island. In 2006, the MS Berge Stahl, one of the largest ships at the time, visited the port of Majishan. [2]

Zhoushanlisten , formerly romanized as Chusan, is an urbanized archipelago with the administrative status of a prefecture-level city in the eastern Chinese province of Zhejiang. It consists of an archipelago of islands at the southern mouth of Hangzhou Bay, off Ningbo. The prefecture's city proper is Dinghai on Zhoushan Island, now administered as the prefecture's Dinghai District. During the 2020 census, Zhoushan Prefecture's population was 1,157,817, out of whom 882,932 lived in the built-up area made of two urban districts of Dinghai and Putuo.

Zhoushan Island is the principal and namesake island in the Zhoushan Islands, formerly romanized as the Chusan Islands, an archipelago administered by Zhoushan Prefecture in Zhejiang Province in the People's Republic of China. It is the province's largest island and 3rd-largest in mainland China after Hainan and Chongming. The island is the district seats of both Dinghai and Putuo. The island was the site of the first and second capture of Chusan during the First Opium War.

Yangshan Port, formally the Yangshan Deep-Water Port, is a deep water port for container ships in Hangzhou Bay south of Shanghai. The port is part of the Maritime Silk Road. The port is built on the islands of Greater and Lesser Yangshan, part of the Zhoushan archipelago, with fill from land reclamation. Connected to Shanghai's Pudong New Area by the Donghai Bridge and forming part of the Port of Shanghai, the islands of Greater and Lesser Yangshan are administered separately as part of Zhejiang's Shengsi County.

Haijiao (海礁), also known as Tong Island (童岛), Taibujiao (泰簿礁) or Taijiao (泰礁), is located at 30°44'6"N, 123°9'24"E in the northeast corner of the Zhoushan Islands and belongs to Shengsi County of Zhoushan city. The name Haijiao literally means 'the ocean reef', and its generally accepted cartographic name of Taijiao literally means 'the extreme reef', a reference to its isolated position on the edge of China's maritime territory. It is a baseline point of China's territorial seas.
